Overview

The Jackson KVX10 King V electric guitar is built with a high-quality basswood body and a pair of Duncan Designed humbucker pickups. The HB103B is a high-output ceramic bridge humbucker based on the Duncan Distortion. The HB-102N is a hot alnico neck pickup based on the Duncan Jazz. The Jackson King V comes with a Floyd Rose-licensed Low Profile tremolo, 24 jumbo frets, a bolt-on rock maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, and chrome hardware. Controls include master volume, master tone, and 3-way pickup switch.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

This is my second guitar and a huge upgrade from a strat. The frets are large and easy to play plus the neck is thin for fast playing. The floyd rose tremolo let's you pull dive bombs off anytime. This guitar gives you the classic metal tones and tons on new ones!

i wouldn't buy Jackson king v's anymore unless it was the real Robin Crosby style of king v, and or the RR models... Jackson gets away with making these guitars so dirt cheap, its not even funny.. i've been playing flying V since i first started,
it gets a 6 because for the same price you can buy yourself a LTD or Dean.
At this price, guitar should be a good set of pickups and a decent floyd copy, not Duncan Designed pickups.. which we all know aren't real Duncan.
they are way over priced for the guitar, Not real Duncans, not a real floyd...

great guitar

Comments about Jackson KVX10 King V Electric Guitar:

this was my first guitar and iv'e had it for 3 years now. i have the 2008 model so it sounds a little better considering they better tonal quality wood when i bought mine. this thing is a beast! get this guitar! the only probs. i had with it was nothing! i had no probs. only to say the pickups were a little flat sounding. only a little though, they still sound great though! i replaced the brigde pickup with a dimebucker and this guitar screames!! the neck pickup sounds great to. the tuners are amazing and never go out of tune. in fact it takes it abou 2.5 weeks for it to go out of tune! it just barely goes out though. get this guitar! it will blow you away!

Great guitar

Comments about Jackson KVX10 King V Electric Guitar:

The factory strings absolutely suck so don't even bother playing them, just immediately buy different strings and replace the before you even think about playing this beast. The neck feels like butter, everything is easy to play. From riffs on the lower frets to shredding leads, and tremolo picking, you can do it all on this thing. Don't beat it up too much though or else you'll find yourself with a problem holding tune. Though guitars are supposed to be taken care of, I've recently bought sturdier guitars than this. I just wish I would've waited to get this guitar, I screwed it up out inexperience because I had only been playing for one year and didn't know how to re-string a guitar with a Floyd Rose bridge... needless to say, I ruined the poor thing, and I regret it so much because it was the easiest out of all of my guitars I have ever played, to shred on. Anyway, this guitar is great and for this price it's a steal. I wouldn't really suggest going for a higher price if you want to save some because this really doesn't lack much compared to the more expensive Jackson V's. You may want to get the pickups replaced after a while though.

Awesome guitar!

By madmax

Comments about Jackson KVX10 King V Electric Guitar:

This guitar is a great guitar. I have loved ever since the day i got it. The tone is great. i play it through a line 6 spider IV 150 watt combo amp and it sounds great. I'm thinking about changing the pickups sometime soon but the stock pickups you get are pretty good though. The floyd rose and the tremelo bridge is a feature i really like. i get to whammy it up and down and it stays in tune. I highly recommend this guitar, especially if your a metal player who plays any type of metal. you definitely get your money's worth.

Decent Guitar

By Mark Thompson

from Temecula, California

Comments about Jackson KVX10 King V Electric Guitar:

It is a good guitar although I expected more because of the price. I wouldn't get this guitar unless you are willing to do some tweaking and perhaps buy some new pickups. The sound is a little dull for my taste due to the pickups. The action was also very high. The guitar plays great after it is tweaked to your needs. The neck is very nice and slim compared to other Jacksons. I would buy this guitar again

Awesome guitar!

By Sam

from Vancouver

Comments about Jackson KVX10 King V Electric Guitar:

This is the first REAL metal guitar I've bought! It sounds great, plays great, and is overall great! It rarely goes out of tune, even when I abuse the tremolo! The only thing which I wish were different, is the bridge. The bridge is a licensed Floyd and I think the guitar would be even better with an original Floyd. If you are looking for a guitar with an original Floyd Rose or other great tremolo systems, I recommend an Ibanez RG. But overall, its an awesome guitar!

KVX10 Cobalt Blue Swirl

By David Brooksby

from Apple Valley, CA

Comments about Jackson KVX10 King V Electric Guitar:

I had this guitar shipped to me twice, and both times it arrived with a 1 inch chip in the head stock. Other than that, the guitar totally SCREAMS! The action is very low, the paint job is incredible, the tone is great for both metal and classical styles, and it stays in tune relatively well when busting out the dive bombs. The two main flaws are 1)the placing of the output cord is a little awkward, so sitting down and playing isn't really an option, and 2) it's top heavy, which causes it to hang downward if you're not constantly holding the neck while standing up and playing.

very good guitar

By Anonymous

Comments about Jackson KVX10 King V Electric Guitar:

very good guitar. it came with a chip off of the headstock, but i superglued it back on and it looks fine. it gets a great tone with distortion with my 100 watt marshall amp; though the clean channel gets a tad distorted when playing chords. it stays in tune pretty well, even when using the whammy bar. the only real issues i have with it are: sitting down and playing is impossible (expect if you use a tightened strap), and the bridge is very sensitive when muting the strings). But other than that this guitar is great.

KVX 10

Comments about Jackson KVX10 King V Electric Guitar:

the guitar is great. i love the body (but it sucks to play while sitting down). the imput jack is at a horrible place... the neck is fairly fast, but my KH-202 has a MUCH faster and smoother neck. the tremelo and tuners are great. and the pickups are very sensitive. overall i like this guitar, but might buy an ESP if i had to do it over...

Amazing guitar!

By Kevin C

from Palatine, IL

Comments about Jackson KVX10 King V Electric Guitar:

A great guitar! This is my second guitar and the tone is great! It is a little frustrating to tune, but that's because it uses a floyd rose. I have used the tremolo bar a lot, and it stays in tune for a very long time. It looks great, it's fun to play, and very cheap for a guitar this good. I recommend this for heavy metal players or any hard rockers out there!
