Comments about Jackson KVMG Pro V King Electric Guitar:

I just picked up this beast a few weeks ago after a year of drooling over it.
It is everything that you would expect bearing the Jackson trademark. A solid, hefty weight, killer stock pickups (an EMG 81 in the bridge and an 89 in the neck), lightning fast neck, quality tremelo, and an action that is unbelievably low when setup properly, this machine was cleary designed for one purpose: to run the metal gauntlet spitting venom infused riffs every step of the way.

Comments about Jackson KVMG Pro V King Electric Guitar:

I felt the need to update my previous review that I gave after owning and playing this guitar for about a month, and was initially impressed with it. Now after owning and playing it for 3 years now some other issues have come up. I ended up replacing the tremolo bar that came with the guitar because it was to tight in it's receptical and was very stiff to move. I tried sanding the part that fits into the receptical down for a better fit and then it was to loose, and had to much play and wouldn't hold tension. now I live in a pretty dry climate and despite my efforts with a humidifier in the room I had the next two issues come up about a year after purchasing this guitar. The flawless finish I was so impressed with developed what I can best describe as barely noticeable( unless the right light hits it) ripples/small cracks in the finish on the front and back of the body and can be felt with your fingers( not to big a deal for me, gives it kind of a texture, but I could see it being an issue for someone else). The worst and most disappointing thing that happened was my worst fear about bound necks unless they are done right with the highest of quality is that the top edge of the binding along the neck became wavy, concave, almost scalloped looking in between the frets... I mean really noticeable, and as time went on it calmed down a little bit except in two spots in the twelve fret area. I gently would push and massage the binding down in that area and it went down leaving two hair line cracks in the binding at those frets.(the hair line cracks are not really noticeable unless you are looking for them) At least the binding is pretty much flat for the most part. It's my opinion that Jackson's manufacture didn't cure or dry out the wood to prevent it from shrinking ( we're talking a mil. or two, but it still shrank) or the frets were cut to long and not dressed properly? The bottom edge of the neck seems fine(Ironically the part you don't see or look at when play

Comments about Jackson KVMG Pro V King Electric Guitar:

This is my First V. Ive been playing strats and single cutaways for nearly 25 yrs and the first thing I noticed about this instrument is its rock hard stability. In the standing position the lower V fin practically anchors the whole instrument to your leg and playing leads is a real pleasure on this. I could not find anything to complain about cosmetically or regarding its construction. Its very well made. I have the snow white and it really looks quite elegant. The neck on it is quite comfortable. The speed neck feels thin, round yet flat. Quite compact in your hand and is not in the way when your running up and down the neck. Compared to the neck on my Esp, this one feels better in that its not as wide feeling. The knobs and switches feel tight and accurate. The tones this guitar produces are quite wonderful. So if you're feeling mellow and don't wanna shred heavy, you can clean it up nice and play some sweet melodies. Also the neck pick up is tapped, so it is a nice bonus as is the strap locks and genuine original floyd rose bridge. It's a very nice guitar package and I am very pleased to have bought it.

Comments about Jackson KVMG Pro V King Electric Guitar:

First I should mention that I custom build my own high quality guitars using a reputable vendor. This was my first complete store bought electric guitar. I was very impressed by the finish, it is flawlessly perfect. The neck is very comfortable and plays very fast and effortlessly. The frets were dressed beautifully, and exceeded my expectations. I took a peek inside the tremolo, and control cavities, and both were very clean and well done. All the solder joints look clean and strong. The factory settings, like pickup and bridge height were in the ball park. The intonation was near perfect, and the truss rod adjustment and nut height are perfect. A nice surprise that is not listed in the specs. is that the volume has a push pull pot, and when you pull it up it splits or changes the pickups to parallel wiring, so you get that single coil sound. I like having that option, and I'm glad they incorporated it in the guitar. I love the quality construction of the graphite reinforced maple neck and center with the alder sides for the body. The first quality issue I found was that the middle allen bolt to the middle clamp for the D and G strings on the locking nut was stripped. The bolt was to short and didn't have enough threads on it. I almost packed it back up and sent it back right then and there. I expected more quality in hardware and quality control for what this guitar retails for. Luckily I had a bolt that was just long enough to fix the problem in my spare parts bin. Next, as I was tuning it up the high E string broke right at the string post! I couldn't even get any use out of the string set that came on the guitar. I restrung it with a new and different gauge set of strings that I use. That's when I found and tightened all the string post nuts, because they were all a quarter to half a turn loose. The last issue I found was with the the Floyed Rose high E lock down long allen screw at the back of the tremolo was bent. I removed it and lightly tapped it straight against a flat surface with a hammer. Soft metal leads me to believe this Floyed Rose was made in China. Other than that and with some TLC, I love this guitar, but almost sent it back.

Comments about Jackson KVMG Pro V King Electric Guitar:

It's a great guitar, but when I got it, I noticed a mistake in the beautiful ebony fretboard, and found out, it was on all the jackson pro series guitars with ebony fretboard. There are some grey shadows in the fretboard - and it looks pretty filthy. That annoys me a lot. But it's only a cosmetic thing, so it doesn't affect the playing or sound. But it is very annoying that Jackson messed that up.
