Comments about Jackson JS32 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

I will give a tip on these pick ups. I currently own Jackson Kelly 2004 model with Seymours already built in. I noticed these new ones have the Jackson pick ups. I have seen mixed reviews and I will add that, if you have any type of EQ's on board your amp or pedals of any kind, you can tweek your EQ to help enhance the outputs of the sound. There isn't any real need to dump more money into your guitars than needed. Another tip is, get a cleaning kit and clean your strings after each time or every other time after you play and try and keep your guitar cleaned along with your cables. I have said this before that everyone has their prefs. These are great guitars for beginners and experienced players.

Really fun guitar once it's setup

Comments about Jackson JS32 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

The Good: I really enjoy this guitar. The trem works great, the neck is amazing. The bridge pickup sounds great, bright blue is really nice. Black hardware is a nice addition. I've owned this for two weeks and after doing a small tweak on the neck to get rid of fret buzz, changing strings to super slinkys and then resetting the trem to accomodate different strings, it's been a blast. The Bad: Right out of the box there is a couple black smudges that are hard to notice, and impossible to remove in the finish. Somehow there is a very small amount of blue paint on the fretboard, nobody but me can see it. Neither item has bearing on playability and I figure it's the hazards of a guitar with a working floyd rose. The neck pickup leaves something to be desired, so I just stick with the bridge pickup. I think it was mentioned in another review that you better be real precise with the two E strings. They are so close to the edge of the neck, you can easily push them off the fretboard. The massive frets took some getting used to, considering I'm upgrading from a Squier HH strat and an Epiphone Les Paul.

        Worth the Money: Great Guitar

        By Victor

        from New York

Comments about Jackson JS32 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

This guitar is everything I had hoped it would be and more. My first guitar with a double locking trem system and I have to say it is quite awesome. As with any guitar, it was not very playable straight out of the box. Jackson provides a guide to set it up along with all the clearance numbers you will need. After setting it up and tuning it, it played much better. That being said, it's still not perfect. There is a lot of buzzing on the E and A strings from the open to the 3rd fret positions. I raised the string height slightly, but that did not help much. So I am going to install a shim under the lock nut and that should do the trick. Aside from the buzzing, the guitar plays great and the trem system is a lot of fun. The hardware on this guitar is top notch and sturdy as well as the quality of the entire instrument. The pickups sound great and the tone knob actually works correctly: varies tone without losing volume. Given this style of guitar, it is great for metal and rock playing, but also sounds great when cleaned up and used for other styles. Lastly, it is a great instrument for the price and I recommend this guitar to just about anyone!

        Nice inexpensive axe

        By Stephen

Comments about Jackson JS32 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

I have only had it about 2 weeks so I can't really comment on reliability yet. My main playing style is rock/hard rock/metal. I havn't played seriously in years so this was a way to get back in for cheap to see if I even wanted to play again and I have always loved Jackson/Charvel guitars. So far I like the way it feels and plays. Its smooth and silky on the thin fast neck. The Jackson tremolo is great and keeps the strings in tune pretty well. The Jackson pickups are bright and sound good but the three way switch doesnt have a whole lot of effect on them so I may upgrade to some SD Blackouts soon. I got the flat black finish and it looks great and doesnt show fingerprints. The guitar has some weight to it but its not terrible. Overall the tones are good and it has decent sustain. Its a bolt on neck but its easy to access the bottom of the fretboard due to the large contured cutouts. Out of the box it needed a little tweaking. I took it to Guitar Center to have them do a setup on it but I think they made it worse so I wouldn't recommend having them work on it for you. I am going to take it back soon because you have 30 days to take it back and get adjustments done. The 6th string is buzzing on every fret to the 15th now and it wasnt doing that when I took it in. I took it in for the 3rd and 4th strings sounding flat at the 5th fret. It still sounds kinda flat and now I have 6th string fret buzz to go with it so like others have suggested, find a real luthier that knows what they are doing. So, overall, nice guitar for the price just don't let GC set it up for you (sorry GC, just the way I feel at this point).
