Overview

The 2008 version of the Jackson JS30RR Rhoads JS Series Electric Guitar looks great and plays fast. Late guitar whiz Randy Rhoads backed up Ozzy with lightning-fast, classically-based riffs. He worked with Jackson to design this unique-looking and fast-playing electric guitar with dual Jackson CVR2 humbucker pickups for plenty of high-end sparkle. The string-thru alder body with bolt-on maple neck produces great sustain and the compound radius rosewood fretboard with 24 jumbo frets aid clean runs. Jackson put chrome tune-o-matic bridge and die-cast tuners on the JS30RR guitar.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

The JS30RR rhoads is a great guitar! this was my first guitar i loved playing with it, but there are some good and bad things about it, the good is it sounds great looks cool and it is an affordable cool guitar, the not so good things are if you like to play lead there is no tremlo system and the bridge wears down after awhile were the strings go and then it starts to break your strings but thats fixable! just get some sand paper and clean it up a little bit and your good to go. Overall it is a really good guitar sounds like a heavy metal guitar. If your a begginer metal guitarest this AXE is good for you!

i got this guitar two years ago and i kept good care of it. however within the last 6 months i lost frets on the lower end of the guitar (12-18) and the frets very on different strings, I do recommend this but you may have the possibility of it crapping out on you after a few years.

    A Shredder's Dream

    By deadangel

    from Detroit, MI

I purchased this guitar recently because I liked the look of it. I took it home and fell in love with it. Not only does this guitar stay in tune, but it has outstanding "action" on the fretboard so you can easily shred. The only drawback is it is a little difficult to jam sitting down but possible. I recommend this guitar for anyone. Whether you are a beginner, or have been playing for a while and would like to save a few bucks.

    METAL!!!!!!!

    By ricky

    from houston,texas

I played the js30rr center like last week.It is a great guitar for metalheads. Its got a nice low sound to it even in standard tuning!!The guitar is very metal sounding which is all i used it for at the store but lots of other people say it can play all styles which is amazing. If youve never played a v before you need to get used to sitting and playing by finding a comforatble position but if you havent its still comforatable.I suggest this over the js30kv because the bottom "wing" is shorter (i think wing is the right word). The pickups are amazing because my ibanez rg's standard pickups arent anywhere near the sound the js30RR standard pickups.Anyway i reccomend it for guitarists who are more towards advanced playing because the neck is so fast and its not really a beginner type guitar.I hope to buy it!!!

    best for the price

    By nathaniel garcia

    from texas

i have always been a big fan of jackson guitars as i was looking around online i thought this has got to be a joke it is like a steal for the price. this is the best guitar for the price i have ever used. i just had to have it. i recommed anyone to get this great guitar to a beginer or pro. the only thing is the neck is heavyer than the body so you have to hold up the neck or it falls. also it is really hard to play sitting. I play stuff from metallica guns n roses and etc. this definitly a great guitar compared to my old fender squir. but if you have lots of money go for the better rr rhoads guitars

    Sweet!

    By BullsEyeWarrior9

    from new york

This guitar is pretty awesome, i have owned it for mabey 4 months now and its awesome. The only bad thing about it is that its is uncomfertable when playing standing up. You always need to hold the neck up the body will go up and the neck wil go down. Other than that its an awesome guitar. I recomend it. Hope this is helpfull. Rock on

    Alright Jackson!!

    By Master Shredder

    from Cedar Prak, TX

Jackson got something right again. The rhoads is awesome. When I played it at my local guitar center it was a dream come true. The action was perfect and I swear that people were watching me shred. Ok... I'm making that part up, but the guitar can shred. It's good for anything from Van Halen to Michael Angelo Batio. Sitting down is a LITTLE hard but trust me you'll get used to it. The price is pretty good for the quality. In closing the guitar is definately not as good as the upper end RR3's or RR1's but for the money you can't beat it.

    Amazing!

    By Josh

    from Utah

I played this at a Guitar Center outlet, and I was thrilled to just hold it. It is lightwieght, fast, and oh it is so nice looking! The pickups make squeeling so much easier and shredding on this guitar is a breeze! And it is 300 bucks!? WOW! I was so amazed that I would have bought it on the spot if I had the money. A must need for all metal players.

    By Stratman89

I don't like this guitar! It's ok if you want buy one but I don't recommend it. To me this guitar doesn't have the best of sound though many people think it has good sound. I just don't like this guitar . If you like Metal I think you should get a Dine or a BC Rich if you don't like metal get a fender just don't buy this guitar!

    beauty

    By monmog

    from los angeles, CA

WOW! absolustely beautiful. when i first saw the price on this guitar i was like ''Haha, they're probably closing down Guitar Center and making a Chucky Cheeses.'' and then i look at all the other guitars and they are all $1000 or so and i got really confused. Rhoads guitar? $300? They gotta be kidding. The next day i head to Guitar center and there it is, $300! i quickly ask on of the clerks to take it down and plug it in. and soon as I plugged it in i was amazed. it is acctully more confortable than a fender because you dont have to put it on your leg you just slip the body over like how a Fender strat would go but it barely touches you. the neck keeps it strait and easierto reach those tough to get areas and super easy to tune. it has a super super SUPER slick neck for fast movements and some crazy metal solos. the pinch harmonics last for about 10 seconds and sound like those crankin blues pinches but with a full supense of hard hard metal full of sounds and distortion. i highly recommend it. the same day i played the American Fender which is $1600 which is ofcourse higher in blues but if you are lookin' for that little touch of crankin blues with full suspense distortional metal well you found your treasure.

    Godly

    By Stockton_25

    from Carson, WA

i picked up this guitar and i did not want to put it down. the body is sick. cant go wrong with it. it also has a very metal sound but sounds great with any type of music. i played some rise against on it and it sounded great. i plugged in the digitech death metal and hot head pedal and it was unreal. this guitar can rip and scream with the best of them. i recommend this guitar to both beginnners and experts alike. i absolutely love this guitar. i plan on buying it once i have the money. which is hopefull soon.

    Nice Metal sound

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

When I got this guitar and played it on a Squier 10 watt amp, I thought it was awesome. After a few months it was still cool, but then the place where you plug it in broke. So then I couldn't use it. It was loose when i got the guitar, but I never fixed it. I thought it was a minor problem. But before that it was a cool guitar.

    AMAZING

    By Seth McCombs

    from ER, NY

I bought this guitar today, actually my mom bought it for me for a b-day present, i already have five but this is my new main, its great! Comfy to play standing up, place it classical style to sit down, which is actually better for you, the pickups are clean, not the best, but still better than what i thought, the neck is fast, is nicely balanced, for a n entry level guitar, its great, and i'm honored to play a Rhoads, because the man was a genius

    Not just for metal?

    By Ryan Loescher

    from Lorain, OH

Believe it or not, this thing is able to produce wide ranges of tone. Right away I would like to address the bad things on this guitar, the body is very extreme, but if you're careful enough you should manage. My input jack actually broke and went into the body of the guitar. After fishing it out, my dad was able to fix it. Now, don't let that scare you away, I was probably doing something wrong! Anyway the good: The stock pickups supply really good range, The neck is nice and slim, and the sustain (for a bolt-on) is rather nice. If you're looking to add a Jackson to your arsenal and you don't have an abundance of cash, look no further!!
