For a Beginner Guitar, you can't go wrong!

By GuitarManiac

Comments about Jackson JS23 Dinky Electric Guitar with Gig Bag:

For a beginner guitar, I must say this is a great starter to intermediate guitar! Jackson makes some fine guitars and basses, the Dinky is a great guitar when you want to sit down and just shred. My favorite body style is the Rhoads, but any Jackson will do. I went into the store and picked this guitar up and started playing away on it. The first thing I realized was how great it sounds! For $199 this sounds great! The neck is very comfortable and you can slide up and down the frets with zero problems, the guitar isn't too heavy either so if you're playing with a strap then you shouldn't really get a shoulder ache from this baby! They had this guitar in Natural and Black, I chose the black because it looks much more metal and everything. Just my personal opinion. The pickups sound great when plugged into many amps, it stays in tune fairly well and the bridge is beautiful on it. Plus it has 24 frets, can't really go wrong with that on the price. I was quite shocked actually as to how it sounded compared to a higher end Jackson Dinky. It sounded pretty decent to the other Dinky's. All in all I would definetly advise you to check this Jackson out if you're looking for a good quality Jackson when you're on a bind!

Great for Begining Player!!

By HC Devlin

Comments about Jackson JS23 Dinky Electric Guitar with Gig Bag:

I fell in love with this guitar the first time I played it. It can play any style of rock or metal you wish. For me,a heavy-metalist and punk rocker, it sounds best through a line 6 spider amp. So if your a metalist on budget or a young rocker trying to pave your way to stardom this is the guitar for you!!

Great Beginners Guitar!

By scott

from Vista,CA

Comments about Jackson JS23 Dinky Electric Guitar with Gig Bag:

I bought this guitar not too long ago (8-28-10) and its my first guitar! First of all, i have to say that the price is killer!!! I got it for $180 w/ free case! And i love the natural wood, the very slim neck whichi is great for shredding! I also like the humbucker and the single coils are ok (i dont use the single coils that much) i think that the humbucker is good for stock and they dont sound crumby at all. I think that Jackson did a great job on this guitar! I hope that this review helps anyone who might be thinking of buying this guitar. This guitar is great and it is PERFECT fpr beginners!

Solid guitar

By xRECREANTx

Comments about Jackson JS23 Dinky Electric Guitar with Gig Bag:

I don't own this guitar, but I've played several timeson my trips to guitar center. It has great action, and the tremolo is a nice touch. It also has those killer looks that always come with a Jackson. It doesn' really have that growl that I want with my guitar, but it almost gets there. Long story short, it's a solid guitar, and Jackson could easily sell it for 50$ more

Good 4 the price could be better

By Jacob bartyyyyyyyyyy11111

Comments about Jackson JS23 Dinky Electric Guitar with Gig Bag:

The Jackson JS23 Dinky Electric Guitar is an amazing beginer guitar, it is easy to tune, and once the guitar is tuned you can play for days before you need to tune it again. I personally have been playing for a 7 years. So i bought this guitar because i had some extra cash and needed a cheap guitar. This particular jackson was completely worth it. And even for a player like me, who is somewhat an advanced player. Un fortunately there were some minor problems with the guitar. #1- my low e string buzzes all the time, but you could just replace it. THe guitar also doesnt look exactly how the picture portrays it. The finishing for the guitar made the guitar look like it had brown and black stripes. It didnt have that appealing wood grain looking finish. Also the tuners were worthless i immediately switched them out for new ones. ANd the pickups werent so good either, but you could try to fix those, i havent bothered though
