The guitar just came in wednesday and wow.. i dont even have the right specific type of words that will sum up to how amazing this guitar is!! Great guitar and great sound for an affordable price! Get it! Enough said!
This guitar is just amazing, especially for its price. Jackson has always been one of my favorite brands of guitars because they have such nice quality. This guitar is great for beginners and very good for metal ( because I play metal so I know how good it sounds) Anyone who buys this guitar will love it
I've had this guitar for around 2 1/2 years now and it has served me faithfully. It sounds good playing clean, blues, jazz, and rock/metal. First off, it is lighter than a Les Paul but heavier than a Strat, so your shoulder doesn't get tired too fast. The neck is easy to play on although the strings are farther apart than you may be used to. Pickups themselves aren't bad, the bridge humbucker gets good distortion and a nice clean tone, and the neck and middle sound great clean and with some distortion or overdrive, you have to crank it a little for them to sound good for metal. The volume and tone controls are excellent. They aren't an on/off switch, there is a gradual increase in volume on all the pickups, and you can definitely hear the difference in tone. The wiring inside is also done very nicely, every solder connection was clean, there wasn't excessive amounts of extra wire, and I do believe that the cavity has shielding paint on it. The tuners are great, they don't have any large jumps when tuning and they keep the strings rock solid, sometimes I don't have to tune for a week. I don't use the wang bar on it because it won't stay in tune (No strat style bridge will). One final thing: It is rather easy to get dents and scratches into the neck so be careful, but other than that, it is pretty sturdy. Overall this guitar seems like a steal for how well made it is and how cheap it is.(I like it better than guitars costing 2 or 3 times more) If you have the money, buy it, you won't regret it.
