Overview

The JS22R guitar gives you smooth, lightning-fast playability and signature heavy Jackson tone in classic Dinky form, with dual high-output humbucking pickups, reverse headstock, and a fulcrum tremolo bridge.

This Jackson Dinky electric guitar is part of Jackson's entry-level JS Series. This series features super-affordable takes on classic and instantly recognizable Jackson guitars, all built without compromising all-important tone and playability. All guitars including the Jackson JS22R Dinky feature the 24-fret compound-radius necks and shark fin inlays beloved of Jackson shredders worldwide.

Compound Radius Fingerboard
A feature unique to Jackson that lets you shred like no other. Rounder near the nut “ perfect for fingering crushing chords and deadly riffs. Then, as you climb the neck, the fingerboard flattens out, making it perfect for effortless warp-speed shredding and the widest string bends known to man.

24 Jumbo Frets
Superbly finished and easily accessible on all models. When combined with the compound radius fingerboard, this feature ensures effortless string bending and super-fast shredding all the way up to the 24th fret.

High-Output, Custom-Voiced Covered Jackson Pickups
Painstakingly voiced for full, rich tone while providing maximum overdrive and sustain. These bad boys also clean up nicely when rolled back, which isnt always true of high-output pickups.

Great!

By Josh

Comments about Jackson JS22R Dinky Electric Guitar with Gig Bag:

This guitar is great. the best thing about it is the playability. I've played $1000+ Guitars that don't play as good as this one. The neck is super thin but also strong. Very easy to shred on. The tone is good too. My previous guitar was a Fender stratocaster so this definatley has a fatter sound to it due to the humbuckers. They also sound extremly good clean, as good as my strat. You can tell this is a quality instrument with no frills you dont need even though it still looks great. Very solid. Not too heavy, it is a little on the small side, which I like because it is much like my strat. It is not a low quality instrument even though the price is amazing. This is not like a squire "by" Fender or LTD "by" ESP. This is a straight up Jackson and it lives up to it's name.

Killer Guitar/ Perfect Price

By Josh

from Las Vegas,NV

Comments about Jackson JS22R Dinky Electric Guitar with Gig Bag:

I recently bought this guitar and all i can say is that from all the guitars that i tried out, this one is the one that poped out. It has everything a shredder would ask for, a tremolo, a 24 fret neck to really crunch down, and 2 naked humbuckers to really get a raw sound. And all of that is nicely wraped with a reversed headstock, a compound-radius neck, and the common small body Dinky shape to seal the deal. This guitar is truely a piece of work for its price.

Even Better than my Expectations

By Joe

from Poplar Grove, IL

Comments about Jackson JS22R Dinky Electric Guitar with Gig Bag:

This guitar has just as much potential as the more expensive Jackson guitars. I purchased it for the 24 jumbo frets and sharkfin inlays, planning to just replace the pickups. As it turns out, these pickups are to my liking. The stock pickups are probably one of the best features of this guitar. The finish is nice, but on my snow white model there were nearly invisible black specks in a few places before I even touched it. My only other complaints are that this guitar goes sharp quite often even if not using the vibrato arm and that the volume knob is right in the way of my picking at higher strings. Though these problems may persist for me, the picking issues are probably due to my style and the sharp notes are probably due to my inexperience with properly setting up this type of bridge. One last thing I would like to mention is the wood this guitar is made of. They call it "Indian Cedro" and I believe many are skeptical of it. In comparison to my other guitars, the tone on this one is great- especially when clean. the sustain also lasts a number of times longer than other guitars I have played. Therefore, I am willing to tell my fellow guitar consumers that this guitar is indeed worthy of your hard earned dollars.

live guitar

Comments about Jackson JS22R Dinky Electric Guitar with Gig Bag:

i bought this guitar six months ago and i can tell you its amazing. i love to play metal and all i could manage to pay for was cheap guitars, cheap in cost and quality. but when my king V started getting alittle funky with me i decided to trade it in. the guitar is excellant. fretting has never been made more easy, and i love shredding on this axe. i have yet to get strap locks for it and have dropped it a few times because of this. no matter the guitar was built to withstand a tsar bomb. its "tuff" and it packs a punch. not to shabby clean either but i hardly play clean anyway. ive played for three years and i can tell you this is no babys guitar. when i played it live at my band's (tranzdemik) first gig, i never set it down, needless to say my les paul was getting lonely. well worth the money and great sound quality. TURN IT TO ELEVEN!!!!!

WORTH THE MONEY

By Lonnie Singleton

from Tennessee

Comments about Jackson JS22R Dinky Electric Guitar with Gig Bag:

Ive had this guitar for 2 weeks now. Very Very pleased with it.I knew it was a starter guitar when i purchased it. Just wanted something newer to bang around on. I have been playing for 20 years or so. I also have a Jackson Dinky DX10 its about 15 years old. Still a good guitar. The factory strings are worthless, could not keep it in tune. Put some GHS Boomers on it and made all the difference in the world. Stays in tune forever now. Also did my own setup on it, was able to achieve pretty low action on it. Playability is very smooth. Factory pickups BUT they sound very good for a guitar at this price. Over all a very good beginner guitar, but its hard to tell its a beginner guitar when your playing it.I recommend this guitar for beginners as well as advanced players. UP THE IRONS
