I'm a mom of a really excited teenaged son who has been playing for about 3 years. His first electric guitar had some wear and tear issues that the replacement policy dealt with (LOVE GUITAR CENTER!!) and now it was time to step up. He went and played LOTS of guitars at GC. (I don't know diddly about buying guitars, but, I know how to buy equipment, so I kept asking WHY this one was better than another etc.) After some helpful advice from staff, and 3 different trips to make sure, he honed in on this one and wouldn't budge. We looked at everything priced $500 and under and the neck feel, how long it stayed in tune... all the little annoying questions I asked, he liked this one and didn't go for the higher priced ones. He likes heavy metal (heaven help me!) and, I think he's good. (When I holler to yell at him to turn down his CD, he yells, "that was ME" so, it can't be ALL just a mother's opinion). So, the evidence points to this guitar being a solid one for the intermediate player.

Very dissatisfied with this guitar. I got it as my first brand new guitar. I came to find out that there's a screw missing in the back and the knobs are wired completely wrong. There are two knobs, one is supposed to be for tone and the other for volume, long story short, they're both wired to tone and I can't turn up or turn down my guitar. Now I have to go through the whole process of waiting for Guitar Center to send me a return label, mail it back, and then wait for a new one.

Comments about Jackson JS22 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

Our order (2 items) was shiped individualy, and for that reason I had to pay extra to the courier.
Additional to that, the store send me a $10 gift card that also came in a separate shipment and also was charged to my account. Not happy. Next time (if any), please consolidate my order in one single shipment.

Comments about Jackson JS22 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar about a year ago, it was fun at first me not knowing much about the guitar. I noticed after a while this guitar wasnt the best, there was alot of fret buzz, tremolo wasnt reliable as in the fact it threw the guitar out of tune completely also it wouldnt keep in tune. But other than that it played fine, tone was great so was the sound and it felt amazing. Other than that, try to look for something else.

Comments about Jackson JS22 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

I bought this little toy to play with on a Saturday splurge at the Murrieta,CA location. I have a wide range of guitars and basses from MIMs to American made, and this little Chinese Jackson or "Chackson" as I call it, rocks! It needed a small setup. Plus, some tightening of hardware, machine heads, strap buttons and tuning post washer that had a slight buzz. Next to go was the whammy bar. The springs were tightened down, and a hard foam insert placed in the tailpiece to "hardtail" it. A velcro string dampener helped with any remaining buzz (which was slight and more so in other guitars I've setup). I also sanded the back cover/access plate because it didn't fit very flush and needed to be forced in prior. Last but not least I adjusted the pickup height, staggered the posts and threw on a pair of Ernie Ball Power Slinkys. It rips!

Amazing Guitar For A Good price

    By Chris

Comments about Jackson JS22 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

Just one thing to say about this guitar, AMAZING! Great price also. Needed improvement and getting used to in the beginning because it was new to me and it has a larger neck then my old Squire. But it just helped me improve so much. Been playing lots of Green Day, and Linkin Park. Both are my favorite bands. Great guitar for a person trying to find a good price for a great guitar!

    Worth the buy

    By VVladislav

Comments about Jackson JS22 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

I have been playing my Ibanez RG-120 for the last Decade! So i decided it was time to get another guitar to play with while keeping the ibanez. SO i tried this one out and a few others. this one is closest to sounding to my ibanez but it has a much smoother sound to it in both clean and distortion. It is great for Black Metal. The pickups are good but they will soon be switched out for something much more useful for metal. However It is great for melodic notes, palm mutes, and more... the fret board is smooth, the design is great and gets a lot of looks on stage. With the Satin Black design you'll notice your hand or arm does not slip while doing repetitive notes ( I tried it). It is overall a great guitar for the price. Worth buying and playing. Sounds good on CD as well.

    Amazing sound & Quality!

    By Adrian D. Gonzalez Ibarra

Comments about Jackson JS22 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

This is my first electric guitar but with that being said I've played other electric guitars from Epiphone to Gibson's electric guitars and I will say that Jackson plays just as well. The 3 way pick up switch allows for great tone and versatility. I got the Metallic Blue and it looks and feels amazing. The sound is another story, the sound is just simply amazing, works well for almost all types of music. Very well built guitar and it plays well for such a low price. The neck feels great, it allows me to move up and down tirelessly. Very easy to play and feels great to. From playing this guitar I know I will be sticking with this brand for years to come.

    Excellent quality

    By THOMAS WILLIAMS

    from Montgomery, AL

Comments about Jackson JS22 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

I am a total beginner. So my review will be limited my own experience. The guitar is well build with a stunning finish, I have the metallic blue. The neck is thin and smooth, so from what I can tell it at least feels fast. The action is low and there is no fret buzz. Overall I was shocked that I could afford a Jackson and will be sticking with this brand for many years. The sound is suburb whether playing clean or with distortion, and the three way pick up switch gives multiple tones.

    A True Axe

    By David Rosser

    from Fairbanks, alaska

Comments about Jackson JS22 Dinky DKA Electric Guitar:

The Jackson Js22 Dinky is an amazing guitar. It plays anywhere from smooth jazz to heavy metal. This was my third electric guitar and my favorite. It plays and feels very smooth and will give you almost no troubles. The only issue I have with the guitar is that the tuners are non-locking and they will come slightly out of tune after about eight hours of play. I have customized my bridge to fully float and the wammy system is truly stunning. The neck is by far the FASTEST neck I have ever played on. I can highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a considerably cheap yet high quality axe.
