Comments about Jackson JS22-7 Dinky DKA 7-String Electric Guitar:

Very comfortable, light, stays in tune ok with a correct set up, the 26.5 scale is the perfect length for proper intonation on a seven string. For jamming, demo's, small venue use, I consider it a beginner to intermediate instrument, not a professional studio or large live stage performance guitar.

Comments about Jackson JS22-7 Dinky DKA 7-String Electric Guitar:

I'm an experienced player, but new to 7 string altogether. Either way, I can tell a good guitar from a piece of junk. This guitar is solid, especially for 200 hundred bucks. It has a wonderful neck shape, great body shape, and plays incredibly smooth. It has some pretty muddy pick ups, but you can expect that from a begginer guitar. Altogether, this guitar plays fast, feels amazing, and can definitely put out some crunch for what you're paying for it.

Comments about Jackson JS22-7 Dinky DKA 7-String Electric Guitar:

I had to make a few adjustments to the bridge saddles and neck due to fret buzz when it first arrived but after the adjustments, it's fantastic. I would recommend swapping out pickups at some point though but they'll do fine for a while.

Comments about Jackson JS22-7 Dinky DKA 7-String Electric Guitar:

I like the feel of the neck, pickups have a good sound (not muddy) plays well. Slight fret buzz, intonation off, expected slight adjusting. disappointed out of the box heard a rattling noise, the plug was not tight, and the pic shows a toggle switch but the description says a blade style.

Comments about Jackson JS22-7 Dinky DKA 7-String Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar because I got a recording job that required me to use a seven string in drop A and my Ibanez wasn't cutting it. A friend of mine had a dinky Jackson 6 string that I really liked, so I decided this was worth a shot since I needed something cheap and reliable. I was not disappointed, as it came very quickly and was very playable right out of the box. I was really surprised with how well it was set up and how clear the pickups sounded. After a few days, I noticed some fret buzz on the first few frets, but it was an easy fix. I haven't used it in a live setting yet, but it sounds great through my Orange amp as well as my amp sims and plays very smoothly. Definitely recommend this guitar!

Comments about Jackson JS22-7 Dinky DKA 7-String Electric Guitar:

I love the guitar! It exceeded my expectations when I opened the box. Tone knobs were solid, the 3-way switch feels solid, and the tuners stay in tune for a good period of time! I would only change the pickups because they are a bit muddy at high volume, and the strings it came stock for a higher gauge one. It is my first time playing a 7-string guitar and the transition from a regular 6-string was very minimal! I use this guitar for practice and I will use it in performances. I love the aesthetics it has, it looks aggressive and I love it. Overall, it is a great guitar for the price. I recommend this to people who wants to transition to a 7-string. This is a great guitar to start with. You will not regret buying this guitar.

      Well worth the money!!

      By Chris

Comments about Jackson JS22-7 Dinky DKA 7-String Electric Guitar:

I've been wanting to try out a 7 string for quite a while but I didn't want to spend a ton of money, in case I didn't like it. So, I ordered this one and I LOVE it!! Being a 6 string player for close to 30 years, the extra string was pretty easy to get used to, although I'm still getting accustomed to it. I wasn't sure if I'd like the mini shark-tooth inlays because I'm so used to the dot-type inlays but, I like them and I've had no problems. They look really cool too! The stock pickups aren't bad either. A lot of people might prefer to swap them out for something a little more powerful but for me, they're fine. So far, it seems to stay in tune pretty well. Only a few minor adjustments here and there. The guitar itself is beautiful and VERY solid. I'm not really sure what the finish on the body is made of. Kinda feels like some kind of composite material. But I like it a lot. The neck is pretty thin and easy to get around on. So, if you've been wanting to try out a 7 string but don't want to spend a lot of money, GET THIS GUITAR!!

      Jackson always makes good instruments

      By leon wolfe

Comments about Jackson JS22-7 Dinky DKA 7-String Electric Guitar:

Great guitar for the money. This is the first time I bought a guitar without playing it first, since I owned a Jackson RRV (which was a fantastic guitar) before I went ahead and purchased this online from GuitarCenter.com. The neck is comfortable and wide, which I like since I play classical guitar, and the jumbo frets are great. Though I have to get used to the difference for my stretches again. I didn't have to do a set-up on it just yet as it came from the factory intonated and with good action. Maybe later I'll see if I can get the action down a bit more. This is the first time I played on a 7 string and while getting used to it took time I love it. Great tones come out of the pickups and the onboard electronics are sound. The tones I get for clean and distorted are great. It's light as well which is great since with some guitars it's like strapping a concrete block to your body which is uncomfortable after long periods of standing/playing. My only complaint which is very minor was that it wasn't in stock when I bought it so I had to wait a week more, but that's no big deal. I guess 7 strings aren't as popular as they once were.
