Jackson's entry-level JS Series suits the needs of beginning players, and offers the best in materials, workmanship and value. The JS20 has an Indian cedro body (flame maple veneer on transparent colors), bolt-on maple neck with rosewood compound radius fingerboard, a Jackson high-output humbucking pickup in the bridge position and single-coil pickups in the middle and neck positions, a 2-point fulcrum tremolo bridge and chrome hardware. The Jackson JS20 has excellent fit and finish and is great for a variety of styles. Includes Jackson Gig Bag.
Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

Comments about Jackson JS20 Dinky Electric Guitar:
The entry fee for this guitar is right on for beginners, and you get a Jackson! Had it about 2 years now to get others into instruments and was actually surprised how it played. Caught my eye because it looked like my SL3 and then loved the price tag. The neck is pretty typical Jackson which is great IMO. If this is a 1st guitar, play it for a bit and then go back into GC and play another. You'll feel what Jackson players lust for most; that neck shape. Toss just about any style of music at it, chunks or leads, and she'll do it. The single PU's are pretty average, but the JE10 HB actually sounds nice. Adjust the height out of the box and they'll work until you decide to try others out. Falls out of tune, but expected I suppose due to the common hardware (always tune before playing anyway, just takes a minute). Action was a bit high as well but fixable. Pots are noisy and the 1st thing I switched out. Overall a great starter guitar you could live with for a long time (NEVER ditch your first ax!), Great price so you're not out if playing doesn't work out, and only gets better as you grow into it.
