Comments about Jackson CBXNT V 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:
55 year old, 40 years of playing in cover bands. Currently gigging in a Country band and an 80"s rock band. I have played most major brands and can tell quality when I see AND feel it. I have a Carvin USA 5 string and a G&L L2500 5 string. I bought this because I needed something that "looked" more 80"s. Ordered on line and picked up at the local GC. Very surprised at the playability and set-up out of the box. The action was pretty good. Fret dressing was nice. I bought the white one and the finish was flawless. Plugged it in and was surprised again! You can get a lot of tones out of this bass. Each pickup has it's own volume knob and three more for Treble, Mid and Bass. Easy to dial up whatever tone you want. The only negative I could find is that it is prone to "neck-diving" because of the long headstock. It's a 5 string so no fixing that. I'm actually thinking of getting another in black. For this quality you can't beat the price!
