A more affordable Randy Rhoads model!

The strikingly designed Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Electric Guitar is a great guitar for its price. Alder body (with flamed maple top on the transparent finishes), maple neck, compound-radius rosewood fretboard, jumbo frets, Floyd Rose-licensed double-locking tremolo, Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) and Jazz (neck) humbuckers, volume/volume/tone with 3-way switching, and black hardware.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

Jackson RR3 Rhoads Pro Series Electric Guitar Features:

  • Alder body with flamed maple top under transparent finishes
  • Bolt-on maple neck
  • Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) and Jazz (neck) pickups
  • Compound-radius rosewood fretboard
  • Sharkfin inlays
  • 25-1/2" scale
  • 22 jumbo frets
  • 1-11/16" nut width
  • Floyd Rose-licensed double-locking tremolo
  • Volume, volume, tone, three-way
  • Black hardware

Great Guitar

I just purchased one of these bad boys off ebay, and I must say I'm quite impressed. I played for 5 hours straight without this guitar coming out of tune. I would suggest putting some Earnie Ball Superslinkys, or Daddario XL's on it for some kick a$$ shredding. The Seymour Duncans that come with this don't always give you that tone, or Randy sound you're looking for, but they're alright. If you have the money, switch to some Seymour Duncan Invaders, and this baby really screams. Downsides like all V's- The points take the blunt, and its not that comfortable to sit with if you're not used to it. I played this thing through my friends 120 watt Crate and it sounded great. I can only imagine the sound when its on a better amp (tubes, etc). The finish is astonishing, and overal, its a pretty sweet guitar. The trem works great, and the sharkfin inlays are just a cool a$$ touch to this bad boy. I give this 5's acroos accept for features, I give a 4.5 because I wish it would come with some better tuning keys, but for the price and sound, you really cannot go wrong.

Randy would be pleased

I love this guitar man. Dive bombs sear, the neck feels comftorble for people with large hands. The neck pick up sounds killer, great for sweep picking. The bridge pick up could have some more sustaine, so I will probally invest in a better quality bridge pick up. But other than that it's one of the best guitars I've played.

GOOD FOR METAL

Jackson guitars has always had a reputation for quality metal instruments. I've used it to play the EVH "Eruption" trick, and the sound is good for metal...The body also feels good to hold. Play this for 30 minutes, then go play another metal guitar for 2 hours. You'll notice a difference in sound and feel.
