Don't mess around with the Demmel-ition Man.

The magnificent Demmelition King V Electric Guitar, was designed in collaboration with guitarist Phil Demmel of Grammy-nominated thrashmeisters Machine Head. This striking artist signature model from the Pro Series has the line's classic V-shaped alder body, with a more aggressive edge thanks to its additional cutouts and a setup for the low-tuned, brutal player.

The Phil Demmel Signature King V's through-body quartersawn maple neck features a bound compound-radius ebony fingerboard (12" to 16") with 24 jumbo frets, mother-of-pearl shark fin position inlays and black-bound headstock. The sonic barrage comes from an EMG-81 bridge pickup and an EMG-60 neck pickup, each with its own CTS volume control and both controlled by a three-way Switchcraft switch. Other features include a Floyd Rose Original double-locking two-point tremolo bridge, black hardware and die-cast tuners.

well the only thing i can say about this guitar is that it's just AMAZING. i bought the white w/black bevels and let me tell you the finish is just amazing, one thing that does'nt show in the pictures is that the black bevels are also located in the back of the guitar, and the neck as well as the headstock are painted white. the fingerboard has black binding wich is a nice touch. it's also neck-tru wich gives it a LOT of sustain. sound wise what can i say? beautiful beautiful sound, sustains like no other guitar i've ever played before, the emg's match perfectly with this guitar, the 81 in the bridge gives you that heaviness that you look for in lead playing and the 60 in the neck is actually pretty hot, but it keeps things a lot more clean comparing it to an 85. the floyd rose stays PERFECTLY in tune, you can dive-bomb al night long and never have to tune it. one thing i would change would be the factory tuning, i mean i've read a LOT of reviews that say the first thing they did was hange the tuning, i did the exact same thing, but with what being a floyd rose it's harder to up tune rather than down tune, but still it's not a big deal. this guitar is balanced perefectly when you play standing up, it's not neck-heavy. the neck is prety thin, lets you play ultra fast ultra comfortably and best of all 24 jumbo frets in a 25.5 sccale. it has only 2 volume knobs wich is perfect for my because i never mess with the tone knob, it has a three way switch wich is actually not as bad as i tought it would be, you get used to it in about an hour. i think that covers just about everything, however my only complaint would be that the volume pots came a little loose so i had to tighten them down, still not a huge deal but i think jackson should REALLY be carefull with this little details. so if you're a heavy metal (or any subgenera from this) player, that wants a fast, sexy, beast of a guitar look no further, this thing will blow you the hell away! i recomend it 10000000% if you've got any doubts email me: maped_22_666 at hotmail

  • Typical Jackson... Perfect !

As reviewed by Stretch on 2/20/2010

Could not find one in a local store to play, so I ordered it sight unseen, other than the on-line pictures I found. Just like the 5 other Jacksons I have owned, it's perfect! Quality is outstanding! I have owned USA and Japan models. The only difference between this guitar and the USA King V is you don't get real mother of pearl inlays and the covers on the back are plastic instead of aluminum, no big deal. I don't tune as low as the guitar comes, so right away I put on a set of 9's. Sound, playability, and quality can't be beat, buy one, you won't regret it!

this is the best guitar i have ever played for metal. the neck is so smooth and the action is just right. i just love everything about this guitar. unfortunately i am low on cash and had to settle for a different guitar but this one is still in my sights for the future.
