Fast, fast, fast.
Jackson's dinky body style is world famous for very good reasons - it's light, comfortable, and very fast looking. This Jackson MG Series DKMG Dinky Electric Guitar sports the trademark Jackson reverse pointy headstock and EMG HZ humbuckers to deliver super-modern looks and harmonic-rich tones to match. Luxurious touches include shark-tooth fretboard inlays and bound fretboard and headstock. 24 jumbo frets and a Floyd Rose-licensed Jackson recessed double-locking 2-point vibrato.
Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!
Jackson MG Series DXMG Dinky Electric Guitar Features:

Simply the best sub-$500 metal guitar you can buy!
Make no mistake about it; this guitar is made for one genre, and one genre only (as are most Jackson's): metal! I play all types of metal ranging from melodic to thrash to death, and this guitar shines like no other when it comes to playability (especially neck speed). Build quality is also exceptional; straight from the factory, there were no sharp fret edges, the neck was perfectly sanded and finished, and the bridge was adjusted perfectly level with the body of the guitar (with the included 9's...I swapped and adjusted the bridge for 10's). If you play metal, it's gotta be either Jackson or ESP; if you want the better value, it's Jackson all the way.
In comparison with the more-expensive DKMG, playability is exactly the same, but the DKMG is substantially lighter. If you play out often, that might justify the higher price. I don't see the active pickups of the DKMG as a benefit, because if you want to play a clean signal, you can't do it without reducing gain on the guitar ("volume" knob) first, since there's no "killswitch" for the gain boost. HZ's are more natural and versatile in that regard, despite being "older". For me, hooked up to a Boss Metal Zone (what other pedal is there, really?), the HZ's deliver plenty of distorted output. Anything more isn't necessary unless you want all distortion and no discernable notes.
In any case, if you're looking for a cheap metal guitar, look no further than Jackson's DXMG. Own it and love it!

When I ordered my beautiful Jackson DXMG Dinky, I was expecting a fender look-alike with some decent pickups. I wrong! I read every review I could get my hands on to really figure out if it was the one for me. Of course I knew the Jackson name, but had never actually played one myself. When I ripped open the packaging I was in shock! It wasn't a guitar that lay before me. No. It was a BEAST! This thing was so elegant. The shark fin inlay really made it shine. The reverse headstock just made it look mean (in a good way). Alright, so this baby looks great, but does it play well!? I plugged her into my Marshall MG80 amplifier. To my surprise, it was in already in tune! I blasted out a killer solo that seemed to melt the fretboard in the process! The pinch harmonic squeals screamed through the house. My heavy bottom-end chords rocked and roared the neighborhood, giving chills down people's spines. The punchy middle tones got my point across loud and clear. The perfectly thin neck with a smooth finish made it so easy to fly up and down. I read that it was really hard to restring and tune with the Floyd Rose. But my guitar instructor showed me how to do everything in fifteen minutes! For hard rock or metal, you can?t go wrong!

Amazing Metal
What can I say? The MG Series DXMG Dinky Electric Guitar, is one of the best Metal guitars there is, at an affordable price, I work, course, but this was worth the cash.
It plays wonderfully, I love the whammy bar action on it. I would recommend this for beginners-experts.
I am an expert and wow, you haven't lived a metal life til you played this!

Tearin' it up.
I just bought this guitar yesterday and I'm already so impressed. I'm in a metal band but i've never had a guitar that is meant for metal. But this guitar is exactly what I needed. The Floyd Rose bridge keeps the strings solidly in tune (drop C) through the biggest bends. The EMGs deliver amazing tone and greatly reduce unwanted hum and feedback. Overall this a lightweight, powerful guitar perfect for rythmic or melodic playing. Nice job Jackson.
