This was my first step up from a Sguier Strat so I'm no genius but after months of looking on GC website i narrowed down what I wanted in a guitar to pretty much these features, and then lo and behold this guitar was released. I've had this guitar since March, so I'm well past the honeymoon phase, and on the whole I'm still quite satisfied. It's got killer looks, tone, and playability, and certainly at an unbeatable price. My two complaints are that the springs in the back are very difficult to adjust, and i ended up stripping one of the screws a while back, and so now i have to be very careful about the bridge. Also, I now know the reason this Floyd Rose is called the Floyd Rose special. My Squier stayed in tune better than this thing, and i was really psyched at first because I thought a Floyd Rose would be so much better, even a knock off, so I was quite disappointed. However, this axe is ideal for metal (obviously) with a fast neck and optimal higher fret access. I've even gotten a good jazz tone out of the neck pickup. Don't worry about sitting down, after several months, it's actually less comfortable to play with anything other than a V. On the whole, besides some trouble in the bridge department, this is definitely a guitar worth buying. I would say that If I was to order a custom shop Jackson, I would pretty much order this with an ebony neck, different pickups, and of course, A FLOYD ROSE ORIGINAL!!!
