The Jackson JS3V Concert Bass features an Indian cedro body, bolt-on maple neck with Indian rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets, 35" scale, Jackson dual humbucking high output pickups, a high-mass bridge, and black hardware. The Jackson JS Series is the affordable axe equivalent. Built with 30 years worth of Jackson expertise, each JS is swift, sleek and deadly.
Compound Radius Neck The neck is the most important part of any bass. The Jackson JS2 has a compound radius neck that begins with a smaller radius at the nut that gradually becomes larger as you play up towards the bridge. Guitarists and bassists alike appreciate a compound radius neck for the comfort and speed in fingering it allows.

Earlier, Jackson released the CMG Concert Bass with EMG's. Now they release the JS series. What's the difference? Not much, really. Besides the construction location (the JS series are made in India, the CMG is made in Japan), the only unnoticeable difference is the type of wood on the fretboard. I own BOTH the CMG and the JS series, and there's no difference in sound or tone, only the big difference in price. Go with the JS series - you'll get a great bass at an affordable price.
Bought this bass online. I play it through a 1x15" 200 watt combo. It sounds great. The clarity is amazing and the low end is a cannon. The active high-output humbuckers really push out some major sound. The neck is amazing. Very fast fingering. I love this bass.

A lovely sound with a professional look at a great price!
I tried this bass at my local guitar center and was immediately hooked because I fell in love with the tone of the bass. The bass has a chimey kind of tone similar to that of Jason Newsted's sound on Metallica's Black Album. My dad then surprised me as an early birhtday gift a few days later with this bass! I am completely in love with it right now this is the best sounding bass I have ever had and I have been playing bass for about 5 years now. The top two knobs are for both pick ups, in which the first knob is for the neck pickup and the second knob is for the bridge pickup. Once both knobs are turned down, that turns down the master volume of the bass, which is an active bass. The bottom knobs from left to right (looking at the bass from the front) are for the low, mids, and high. I hope you guys find as much satisfaction as I did! So if you are looking for an inexpensive bass, this is a must by.
