  • best dinky ever!

As reviewed by Nick on 6/30/2011

from the smooth thin neck to the sexy black hardware this thing is a metal machine. i had never tried the emg hz till now and now i am a fan although i do prefer active emgs. Just almost all of the songs my band makes i use tons of whammy so when i am buying a guitar a floyd rose is mandatory, and this one moves very nice and smooth. i put new strings on it a mouth ago and its still in tune! i recommend this to everyone.

  • Jackson dxmg is great for shred/tremelo begginers.

As reviewed by Develin on 5/15/2009

i bought this guitar around 2003 & i don't think there is a difference with the year, its the same thing. Be certain you can correctly change strings with the licensed floyd. You cant flutter with the the licensed floyd and the tuning periodically will drop or raise slightly in pitch because there is no tuning mechanism such as the original floyd. This guitar has no sustain! the neck EMG HZ & basswood work to deliver warm cleans although the bridge pickup could use a little more Ummmffff for music that requires harsh distortion.Hope this helps!

  • Great guitar, even an used one...

As reviewed by Felipe on 8/24/2009

I just bought this guitar at the Guitar Center, although is an used one. Considering the price it was displayed, i thought it was such a great deal. This model gives you sustain(EMG pick ups), tune stability and metal look attitude(reverse headstock). It stays in tune almost perfectly(FR performance) and it has a very fast action(thin neck). Perfect for those who love to play hard rock or metal categories. Shred all day long with this guitar!
