Features:10 The guitar has everything you need and nothing you don't. The Floyd Rose, flame maple top, Duncan Designed pickups, and uber-flat 24-fret neck really make this guitar stand out in this peice range. Quality:10 It's been dropped. It still works. Didn't even go out of tune. It's been wet. It still works. Pots aren't even scratchy. They must use tank armor for the finish. Need I say more? Reliability: 10 There's no reason to bring a backup guitar to a gig when you use this guitar. I've only broke a string when I tried .008's. Bad idea. The Floyd never fails, even if it's Japanese, as in this guitar. You can dive and raise pitch without tuning problems. I am SO confident when I play this baby onstage. Sound:8 If there's one way this Jackson falls short, it's the pups. Well, for starters, they're cheap and very muddy-sounding. They were okay at first, but got progressively weaker over time. REPLACE THESE TO REAL DUNCANS! Look:10 This is a beautiful guitar. Mine is the Trans Black model, and the flame maple top really sets it off. I think this is the most beautiful guitar in this price range. The rosewood fretboard is brilliant, and doesn't seem to ever lighten its color. Great. Feel: 10 This guitar has a good, solid, 80's Charvel-type feel. Not really nose heavy, and the body is medium-light weight. A solid guitar. Overall: Don't look at Ibanez. Ignore ESP LTD. Don't you dare go to Schecter (okay, maybe a little bit). But this is the BEST superstrat guitar for the least money. Buy it and you won't ever look back.

  • GREAT!

As reviewed by theaardvarkthatstoleyourtacolastnigh on 4/24/2009

Alright, i have an older version of this guitar, and it's amazing. Mine is red, but i see this color isn't available in this model, but don't hesitate. i was in florida when i bought mine get this guitar! mine has the floyd rose and all that and you can dive and swoop so hard and not go outta tune cuz of the locking nut. it's light, not head heavy, the duncan designed pickups are amazing (goes great with a marshall half stack and the boss metal zone pedal for amazing thick crunch for riffs and great action for leads) get this and also the boss metal zone pedal.

  • Awesome guitar

As reviewed by guitarist on 7/8/2009

This guitar is my 3rd electric and its probably my best one yet. I bought this guitar and it was well worth the price. I have an Ibanez RG350DX and this guitar is just better to me. Although when i bought it, the floyd rose tremolo was not set up perfectly, just got a hex key and made some very minor modifications, and the floyd rose was set up perfectly. The duncan designed pickups are beautiful. when i was purchasing the guitar, i was thinking of buying some duncan blackouts, but i made the right choice in saving my money because the stock pickups are too good to be true.
