Powerful Duncan pups and a scalloped neck joint.

The Jackson DK2 Dinky Electric Guitar is both a looker and a screamer with Seymour Duncan STK-1s in the neck/mid and a Duncan JB in the bridge position and flashy finishes. The alder body is fitted with a shred-eriffic rock maple neck and a bound compound-radius rosewood fretboard. Transparent finish models have a stunning flamed maple top. A scalloped heel means uninhibited access to the upper frets, while a Floyd Rose double-locking trem let's you dive as deep as you want. A deluxe Jackson molded case by SKB comes with the package to protect your investment and keep it looking good.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better.

  • Just Divebomb!

As reviewed by Gregorio on 9/18/2009

Alright, when I just got it from the shop it wasn't nice, action was too high and was bad intoned, but this is likely in all new guitars. I had it sent to a tech and have it calibrated for 0.10 strings and lower the action. Once it came back i LOVED it, never goes out of tune no matter how hard you use/abuse the Floyd Rose (the fine tuners feel crappy, but they do their job) and the JB Seymor Duncan sounds just GREAT, really punchy and the tone of it completely overshadows both the other guitarrist from my band and my proffesor's tone. Sounds great for heavy stuff and some classic rock, but the clean tone is VERY versatile, I enjoy playing some Dire Straits and SRV. The neck is really comfortable for everything (except blues maybe, I still prefer Strats)but is really fast and the wood feels nice. Great buy, a very versatile guitar and built to last !

  • Excellent guitar!

As reviewed by Fernando C. on 11/21/2010

I have had this guitar for like 2 years, and I have to say it is one of the best instruments I have tried. It is made in Japan, the quality is excelent, the SD pickups totally rock. The neck is amazing, even though I like strings a little high, on this guitar a set them veeeery low. It is soft to play, and manages lower tunings nicely. It does for me any music genre. I have tried some friends Gibson LP Studio and I still prefer my Jackson. It would be very cool if the guitar had the wrench holder on the back of the headstock, but oh well it looks elegant without it. You can make serious dive-bombing and the Licensed Floyd-Rose doesn't go out of tune. Maybe out of the store won't as nice, but once you set her up, you've got a monster.
