I bought 6 srx 725 and 10 earthquake bass cabnets and the gave the be best sound ever we used the for 15ers weddings and lowrider concerts and even live bands at dallas covention center and this system rocked some places didnt have enough power to handle this set up man did we have fun with this sound system to bad i hurt my back and i had to sell it cause i couldnt lift anything heavy anymore i sure do miss it.
I wanted a respectable, lightweighted speaker setup without subwoofers for my BBQ's. So I decided to go for a pair of 2x15" boxes. I went into the nearest GC store and had the chance to hear and compare all 2x15" speakers available by just unpluging the cable from one box and pluging it into the next, keeping everything else constant. JBL SRX725 was the best of all. It sounded way louder, clearer and very, very bassy, even over the other JBL speaker series. I bought a pair of them and had the chance to really turn up the volume to the limit of my MA3600VZ amplifier at home (1600W for each box)....; believe this: the sound is terribly loud (but still clear) you can't even step in front of them!!! They are also so light I can get them on my Pick Up by myself and move them around with the help of a Folding Portable Hand Cart. I am very pleased with my purchase!!!
i have 8 cab. that are Jbl SRX 725 ,and used to have only 4 meyer sound msl4 ,so i was thinking that the sound its gonna be better but it was not at all. The h.f. neodinium driver got hot and then it burns and it doesn̴t last. so now imma gonna sell these speakers too buy some EAW Line array 750. So These Speakers are no good.
As Owner of Tribe Entertainment Pro Audio, L.L.C., I recently had the pleasure of upgradding our speaker system to the JBL SRX Series. We now use (4) JBL SRX 725 2-way Dual Speaker Cabinets as our tops; and (4) JBL SRX 728S Dual 18" Subwoofer as our bottoms. We recently used them at an outdoor concert for "Willie-G & The Mightnighters", Susie Hansen (Salsa recording artist), and Maricahi Sol Del Mexico. As a result, we received many compliments from each artist and especially from the crowd. Many stated that the superior clarity and performance of these speakers can not be compared to many others on the market. Many try to match the JBL name, but not until you own a few, will you ever go back!
I have probably played at least 300 four hour gigs with these speakers. They are by far the best speaker cabinet I have ever owned. I power each one with a bridged mono behringer europower 2500. We run a full band plus dj on our breaks and they continue to perform flawlessly night after night. For most gigs these speakers do not even need assistance from subs. They can reproduce everything you pump through them without any rattling or fluttering. Even though the duraflex covering looks and feels indestructible, I would still recommend spending the money on the slip on covers for these bad boys.
