The PRX700 Series represents an evolutionary step in powered speaker design. Efficient amplifier power, rugged durability and enhanced versatility combine together in a self-powered loudspeaker designed from the ground up to perform in the real world of sound reinforcement. Inconvenient audio environments, high ambient noise levels and loud volumes are typical features of performing, and the PRX700 Series is adept at meeting all of these challenges. They are the first systems to use JBL's patented Differential Drive technology with ferrite drivers featuring high power, wide bandwidth and low distortion. Versatile, scalable, easy-to-transport and set up, the PRX700 Series use JBL's tour tested technology throughout for a lifetime of reliable performance you can trust. The PRX710 is smallest of the PRX700 family. It is a 10" two-way multipurpose, self-powered sound reinforcement system.
The JBL PRX710 is a powered two-way enclosure with a 1500-watts of Class D power. The clarity of this enclosure relative to its volume is revolutionary. JBL's Differential Drive technology incorporates lower mass in the ferrite magnet for reduced weight while maximizing power amp efficiency for greater heat dissipation and increased power handling.

I bought this for my man cave. It has really great sound and kicks it for a single stand alone unit. I have the PRX710. The JBL brand has been a staple of mine dating back 30 years. I like the fact that it weighs less than 38 lbs, so it's easy to take to events or move. I bought the stand (tripod)which is sturdy and has the capability to place the speaker at whatever listening height you prefer. It turns out my sophmore college son took the unit to his frat house. I now will buy another! Great value.
I bought 2 of these speakers to see if the 1500 watt amp made a difference from the 600 series. The 700 series have 2 inputs (XLR) and a RCA input. The 710 speaker is amazing. I brought one speaker to a rehearsal dinner that was outside. The neighbors asked if we could "turn off the subwoofer". There was no subwoofer. That is how great the bass response is on these.
I am very pleased and impressed with this speaker. The sound quality is excellent and it is capable of producing impressive bass response, even at high volume. I have been surprised at just how much it can do! The specs alone suggested I might need to add a subwoofer, but that has not been the case. It has played LOUD in a medium-sized lounge space and has been really terrific. I've had no problems with feedback, and all kinds of music sound great through it. I do feel the need to employ a mixer for vocals, as there are no effects or EQ settings offered. Considering how good it does its job, this is no reason to complain! I plug my laptop directly into it, and it is a simple and powerful way to share music. Looks handsome and professional, feels very solid and well-built. Highly recommended! Thanks, JBL........
