The JBL EON510 is a 10", 2-way, powered portable speaker system. Capable of reproducing full-bandwidth sound at high levels, it offers the additional utility of a 3-channel built-in mixer. The EON510 is comprised of a 10" Differential Drive woofer, a 1" neodymium high-frequency compression driver coupled to a 100° H by 60° V waveguide. Both components are driven by the discrete channels of a 280-watt Class D integrated power amplifier. The PA speaker's input section contains all crossover functions, protection, and mixer functionality.

I just bought a pair of this babies. they rock.!. they are a little pricy, but you get what you pay for. They have really good highs and lows. I was speechless when I plugged them into my system. 280 watts RMS, extremely small and they only weight approximately 16 pounds. I really recommend this speakers. I did my research and listened to several other powered speakers. I chose this, because they had the best sound, even compared to other 15 inch speakers......
I have one of these for about 3 mounths now, I played it direct from my Mc-pro at my daughter party until the DJ we hired came. The DJ was 2 hours late. When he did showed up he came to and asked if my lap top was hooked into the party hall sound system. The sound Quality impressed him. with only one of these speaker i able to get the parity started
Grabbed a second EON as I had always planned and am still totally happy with the purchase. With the pair, I have been able to completely fill crazy house parties, backyards and even a wedding reception in a large barn with clear sound. I do love me some bass, however. I never expected these guys to punch me in the gut when the 808 drops, but if you're used to a 15" EON you'll want to match these guys up with a dedicated sub. I compliment them at my own house parties with a 10" Velodyne and they keep up with each other very well. These PAs (and a pair of cheap stands) fit just fine in my sedan along with a battle-style turntable flight case, record cases, and a couple of lights. I've been looking at one of the JBL 18" EON or PRX subs to give these guys some low-end reinforcement, but am afraid that a sub that big might only fit on the passenger seat! Gotta head over to my local GC and see if the thing will even fit through the door.
I purchased one of these 10" EONs as a lightweight PA for my turntables when jamming with other musicians or playing small parties. The cabinet weighs next to nothing (especially if you're used to lugging around 15" speakers). The sound is fantastic for the size - you can't expect crazy-deep club bass from a 10" driver, but everything it can play, it plays loudly and clearly. I can't wait to get another one of these and team them up with the 18" sub.
