I've bought a pair of these great speakers from GC over a year ago....JBL Mid to Low level speakers...Ive used them in the house at the bar and for weddings...The JRX line of speakers are AWESOME for the price...I powered the speakers with a GX-3 at 3/4 power and all I can say is loud enough for a very large space..In the house the people two blocks over called the police because they thought I had a live band in the back yard.....All I have to say is BUY THEM YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!
Just picked them up last night (11/9/10) & set them up in my basement. They are being driven by a Yamaha EMX 312 SC 300watt/channel powered mixer. They sound tremendous. We've now got a well rounded pair of speakers that are easily portable & offers the low end bass resposnse that smaller speakers don't give you without adding a powered subwoofer. Also need to see if the board will push at least one monitor. The real test will be this weekend when we gig with them. Stay tuned for a follow up.
I have two of these speakers. Honestly, if I don't have money to affort Mackie speakers, I would get these speakers. I would say these speakers sound as good as Mackie speakers. These speakers are very powerful and clear. They have very balanced high/mid/low sound. Only con is that I had to get a power amplifier since these are passive speakers. It sounds amazing!!
