The ISO-L8R155 studio monitor stands from IsoAcoustics are the product of patented isolation technology that enhances the sound clarity of any speakers including studio monitors, home theatre systems, and sound reinforcement. The ISO-L8R155 speaker stands are designed to isolate your speakers, effectively eliminating energy transfer to surrounding surfaces, preventing coloration of frequencies. Bass becomes tighter, and overall image is enhanced, allowing your speakers to perform to their full potential.
IsoAcoustics ISO-L8R155 stands are ideal for medium nearfield studio monitors -- ADAM A7X, Dynaudio BM6A, Focal Solo6 Be, Genelec 8040A, KRK VXT 6, Yamaha NS-10M, and similarly sized speakers.
ISO-L8R155s speaker stands prevent the transfer of speaker cabinet energy to surrounding surfaces, effectively isolating the speaker from the desktop, bookshelf or other surface. By allowing the speaker to perform in free space, it's able to sound the way it was intended. The end result is a more accurate, satisfying sound, which makes mixing and listening a better experience.
An important aspect of the speaker stand design is the ability to adjust the height and tilt angle of the supported speaker enclosure to optimize its position relative to the listener. Two lengths of tubing along with 2 sets of end-plug pairs provide 14 steps of height adjustment as the combinations are used to tilt the speaker up and down. The stand can be assembled and reconfigured repeatedly to establish the ideal position off the supporting surface and focused towards the listener.
Whether you're a pro mixing in the studio, a musician creating in a come project environment, or an audiophile who appreciates every nuance of music and sound, you will hear and appreciate the difference with the ISO-L8R155 studio monitor stands.

I have worked professionally in all aspects of the music/production business for over 40 years. First as a musician/vocalist, producer/writer and throughout that period of time, also as a commercial voice actor. In my studio, I primarily read & produce air-ready scripts for television ads as both talent & engineer, as many of us do these days. Given the focused clarity of the copy that's demanded for this type of work, being able to cut through the music bed but still make it big, without too much sizzle, is why this product has made my job easier. I read a review about isoACOUSTICS in Recording magazine and thought I'd give them a try. I am very happy that I did! They surpassed my expectations and as I said; call it sweet, tight, or just whatever you like... but there's a distinctively enhanced 'clear spot' difference when using this product. I'm not blowing sunshine either... these things work perfectly!
Just made the purchase about a week ago and some chage. WOW is what I said, when I finally set them up. They isolate your monitors way better that the Auralex MoPads do, however I can't knock the MoPads, used them for years and have had songs I mixed, and mastered placed on the radio, after being mixed, while using them. I don't regret the purchase of those one bit or these IsoAcoustics stands. However, these stands, these stands, right here, they are very very sturdy, built very well, and they isolate your monitors to a point, to where, your bass hits harder, your highs are alot clearer and crisp, and you will hear the very SMALL details in your mixes, that could either break or make your records when mixing and mastering, and that right there is KEY, accurate mixes and on point mastering. And as the other reviewer mentioned, you can really zone in on your monitor's sweet spot, and your stereo field will open up alot more to where as I mention you hear all the small details. Your monitors, will sound brand new, I promise, and that might trip you out, so you will have to adjust to your NEW sound, and they look really good on the speaker stands that they are resting on, because of the desk I use. So that being said, the money you spend on these, you will be happy for years to come. The best advice I can give you guys and ladies, who are starting out, or have been in the game for a while, don't cheap out on getting your space acoustically right, or your mixing and mastering, and recordings will not sound like you thought they were suppose to sound. I believe with out a doubt these IsoAcoustics stands will amaze you. Now, if you do have the MoPads, do an A&B comparison, you will notice the difference right way that's for sure.
I just begin to build my own studio, purchased Ultranova,Launchpad,Twitch and a pair of Yamaha HS 50M. From the beginning the sound was not bad at all. But as usual we always want to extricate as much as possible from our set up, and I was sold out on IsoAcoustics. main reason was actual feedback from real consumers on the net. I'm very pleased by the ability of those stands to transform the sound of my setup.I would say about 20-25% clearer, tighter and drier sound. Plus an extra bonus - an ability to adjust the height, angle of the speakers setup and truly forming the "sweet spot" of sound. From my personal opinion if you really in to the reference monitor studio sound this stands definite buy,no chance for the foam pads here. My only 2 cents wish that the guitar center would set them up on comparo display so you can really hear the difference!
