Introduced in 1956, the Vibrolux originally featured a single 10" speaker, tweed covering, and Fender's lush vibrato circuitry. By early '61, the speaker was upgraded to a more robust 12" and Fender's new brown tolex replaced the tweed covering. As with most Fender combos of the day, it was fitted with a reverb tank in '64 and rechristened the Vibrolux Reverb.
