DELUXE REVERB As with most Fender combos of the day, the Deluxe received a make-over in late '63, adding reverb and switching the tolex color to black. The newly rechristened Deluxe Reverb was an immediate success due to it's sweet tone, expansive reverb, and small size and weight. Loud enough for a small club and perfectly suited for studio use, the Deluxe Reverb has been described by many as the perfect "desert island" amplifier.
