Introduced by Jennings Musical Instruments (JMI) in 1957, Vox began building amps to satisfy the emerging amplified rock scene in the UK. By '61, they were producing guitars and added an echo effect unit in '63. Known for their unique shapes and innovative electronics, Vox became a staple of the early British rock bands.
