DLS has created this rotary speaker simulator and made sure this pedal has all the adjustments any musician could ever want to dial in, at any type of rotary speaker cabinet sound imaginable. The Tweeter and Bass adjustments allow you to add or reduce the amount of horn intensities. Fast and Slow speed panel pots allow the rotation speeds to be dialed to taste along with the Ramp time. Use this effect with or without the internal overdrive circuit, which simulates clipping like the real deal. Internal trim pots let you adjust the Blend, Bass Lag Speed, IO Volumes, and more! This unit uses the analog instrument signal and mixes it with the RotoSIM sound, which leaves your instrument sound and tone as is!

  • Impressive Leslie Sound & Versatile Speed Control

As reviewed by Bruce Wasserstrom on 3/8/2014

I'm very impressed with the sound quality and features in the DLS RotoSIM Leslie simulator pedal. I currently own a Leslie G37, I previously owned two Leslie 330's, and I've played through 145 & 147 models. I love the sound of a real Leslie, but I'm no longer interested in hauling around such a heavy & bulky amp for gigs. The RotoSIM provides a very credible Leslie sound with my regular guitar amp, and it fits comfortably on my main pedal board. I've played through the Boss RT-20, the Tech 21 RotoChoir, the Leslie brand Leslie Pedal, and to me, the DLS RotoSIM sounds far better, plus it has excellent speed control, either with the built-in speed settings & switching or with an external expression pedal. I use an expression pedal with mine, allowing continuously variable control between full stop and the fastest rotation speed. Although I haven't yet played through a Neo Instruments Ventilator, a Strymon Lex, or an H&K Rotosphere, I have heard a Ventilator in live use, and I've heard all three on YouTube. My impression is that DLS RotoSIM competes well against these other top-of-the-line Leslie simulators in both sound quality and features. I've only owned the DLS RotoSIM a few weeks, but it appears to have a very high build quality. It is quiet in operation, in either mono or stereo modes. The input & output jacks have a solid feel, and the knobs are easy to use. I anticipate good reliability, but, of course, only time will tell.

  • Great Sounding Pedal

As reviewed by CHESTER OWENS on 12/11/2012

I have had my Roto Sim for about six months. This pedal has a sturdy build and tight accurate pots of fine adjustments. This pedal simulates a leslie more closely than any I've heard (I've been playing guitar for about 40 years). It's not a leslie, but it will get you close. One minor improvement I would make to this pedal is that I would design the overdrive to have a more "fuzzy" quality like that of organs and leslies that I have heard. The overdrive on this unit sounds more like the overdrive of a typical guitar stomp box. But this is really minor, however, this change, in my opinion, would make this pedal outstanding. Additionally, I contacted the manufacturer concerning a question about one of the knobs on the pedal, and they got back with me with an answer in less than 24 hours. If this is any indication of their service and care for the reputation and quality of their product/company, this alone would be a reason to do business with DLS. All gushing aside, buy the pedal, you'll love it.
