Good, but not what i expected

By Bob

from Houston, TX

Comments about Ice Pix Stainless Steel Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:

I expected to get a pick that would make my tone brighter, but instead it had the opposite effect and made my guitar sound like it had more bass, less treble and more distortion. If you are looking for a good pick to play with heavy distortion, and not as much treble, this is the pick for you. (Not to mention the steel just looks hardcore)

Ice Pix Rox

By Nik

from NY

Comments about Ice Pix Stainless Steel Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:

Awesome picks for the price! You could get 12 plastic for the same price but you will go through them in 3-4 months. These last forever and don't wear with scrapes and long-term playing. The only way you will get rid of these is if you lose them. Plus they look sick. Easier harmonics and longer sustains are a plus too.

No pick bites

By tyler

from Virginia

Comments about Ice Pix Stainless Steel Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:

It gives a nice deep sound and is good for high distortion metal. I do pick scrapes a lot and these picks aren't ruined from pick bites. It's thinner than my normal picks and it's light so pick real quickly.

Resistant and Powerful

By Fausto Torres Jr.

from Surprise, Arizona

Comments about Ice Pix Stainless Steel Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:

These are high quality picks. Not only do they keep the bass at a bass tone, but they are also very resistant and last very long. These picks keep the treble at a minimum and they don't really mess with the distortion. If you want to play at a low tone but still use picks, these are the choicce.

Picked a good pick

By Debbie

from Lake View Terrace, CA

Comments about Ice Pix Stainless Steel Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:

I bot this item for my boyfriend for V-day. I had one engraved in Gaelic and added a ring so he could wear it and always have a pick on him! It was a winner! One I gave to a neighbor to try and the other to the BF to try out for fun. For the price, can't be beat!

Great for electrics but not acoustics

By Wit

from Washington, DC

Comments about Ice Pix Stainless Steel Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:

I recently ordered these online because the reviews I read sounded promising and I wanted some new pics that would last and also looked cool. The first thing I noticed when these were shipped to me is that they are really just very thin almost flat pieces of metal most likely mass produced by press cutting from sheets of thin steel. If you're looking for something thicker and contoured like Dava picks these will disappoint you based on their looks and feel. That said I gave them a try out on my acoustic first and they sounded horrible! Worse than fingernails on a chalkboard! After one try on my Takamine I was resigned to the idea that I'd made a bad choice despite my hopes. Then I tried them out on my Wilshire and I finally found a use for them! They are obviously meant for electric guitars because they played great and I had no problems. They feel comfortable and really help bring out chords and notes while playing. Playing is also pretty fast and smooth with no snagging. Pick scraping is also a breeze which, although it's not my style of playing if you're into that then these stainless steel picks will serve you very well. All in all if you play electric guitar then these are great but be wary of the feel of these picks. If you like more thickness and contoured picks go with the Dava picks with nickel metal tips instead. I bought two packs of these picks so one I'll keep for the guitar and the other I'll see if I can imprint or etch with a Buddhist emblem. Since I'm a Buddhist as well as guitarist these picks might make a cool necklace too. ^_^
