Having spent alot of time loitering in guitar stores, I've played pretty much every wah pedal on the market, and let me tell you, the Ibanez Weeping Demon is probably the best store-stocked one that I've had the pleasure of using. For starters, it sounds amazing. It may not sound like a Crybaby or a Clyde, but it has a much greater variety of sounds than either one. In fact, I would have to say it?s the most versatile wah pedal out there. And even though it has a great quantity of sounds, it doesn?t mean that the quality is sacrificed. The WD-7 has a wonderful bell like wah sound, giving it a very clear and sometimes ethereal quality. In addition, it's pretty much the strongest one out there. Its solid metal, with Ibanez's signature "tone lok" knobs, so that the knobs won?t snap off when youre thrashing around onstage. As a matter of fact, I have never seen a broken Weeping Demon in a Guitar Center or Sam Ash, even though I have been in countless stores that had on display a half dozen broken Dunlop wahs. Overall, I've got to say that it's a great pedal, probably the best wah out there for under 200 dollars, and definitely the most bang for the buck.

I got home with this thing and was all excited. I heard that it was so much better than a crybaby (which suck balls). I plugged it in and jammed on it for a while. The level feature is basically worthless. When turned up all the way, it gives you a very minimal volume boost. The sweep sucks for the most part, it gives you very little until almost all the way forward. Makes horrible noise when medium distortion is on. Better than the crybabies, but not by much. Just dish out the extra greenbacks for a vox.

Every Wah in one.

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

This i must say is the most versatile wah I have ever used. I was checking out various wah's. all of them have a very limited tone, so if your rig changes or your way of playing changes and you don't like that pedal for that sound your hanging. This also when running full speed has a built in overdrive. This pedal is highly controllable. Also it runs like a Morley or a Dunlop wah. So you can get these classic tones or make your own. It's also got a durable metal shell and build.

Brutal.

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

I had been eyeing this pedal for a long time after playing my friends' Dimebag wah. I've always been a huge Ibanez fan but wasn't sure about their pedals other than the TS9, but I decided to take a chance on the WD7. I had heard they were discontinued for a short while and bought the last one my local GC had in stock. Immediately sounded great the moment I plugged it in, it's very tweakable with a good bit of customization for a wah, but even if you don't know a thing about tweaking it, it'll still sound great on its' stock settings. Very user friendly, sounds much better than I expected, blows the DB01 Dime Crybaby from Hell out of the water. I would definitely recommend this pedal in a heartbeat. The selling factor for me was the fact that there is a lot more movement in the wah than you would find on a Crybaby. More movement means more precise tone customizability; You control in much more precise increments just how much of the wah effect is executed by how far you press forward. Very practical pedal. Love it, still have it, if you're not going to buy it then at least do yourself the favor of trying it out.

Most Versatile Wah Available

By FenderFan

from Bakersfield, California

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

This wah is easily the most flexible wah pedal on the market. I got this for Christmas last year and haven't had any problems. A lot of people say it is for metal but it is a great all around wah. I play a lot of classic rock and funk like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Hendrix (with a stratocaster or telecaster) and this is perfect. I also have a Dunlop 535Q wah, which is good but not close to the flexability of this wah. Don't hesitate with looking around it is affordable and has so many features.

Great Wah

By Ross

from Austin, TX

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

The Ibanez WD7 Weeping Demon Wah is a great pedal. I've been playing for 19 years. I have owned many products in that time and this is the first thing I have ever taken the time to review. I would suggest reading the manual. Its only a page, but there are a lot of options. I had a basic cry baby before. This blows it away. Being able to switch from free floating to spring action is fantastic. The delay adjustment for when the effect turns off while in the spring action mode is very slick. It is very quite. No hums, buzzes, or scraping noises. It gives you a very wide range with the "Q" adjustment. There are many other wahs with a "Q" adjustment, but not for the price. And that really is what sold this pedal for me. The most options, and best sound for the price. I especially like changing the range switch to low, which the manual suggests is for a bass guitar, and crank the Q and the gain on your amp to max. It makes a very "Tool" like sound, as one of my friends suggested. If you are looking for a new wah, definitely check this out. You won't regret it. One pet peeve... you have to buy an AC adapter separate.

Insane!!!

By Harris Lewis

from Orange, VA

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

This is an amazing wah. When I played guitar I could pull a variety of tones. But what really cought my attention was the low end on this baby. I traded my VOX V847 wah wah (reissue) for this thing all because of the nice low-end response. I've now swithced from playing guitar to bass and it actually works for bass as well if set crank out the lows on the eq and range. Id read somewhere that it worked for bass and decided to try it-boy was I amazed. If you are a bass player and you need a good wah-I would defintely recommend this baby.

It's a boy

By RiplikHendrix80

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

This is probably the best wah wah I have used. When I first heard this pedal I was shocked what I can do with it. I sounded just like Jimi Hendrix. I have a few tricks up my sleve like to bend up and down, slide side to side, and use the whammy bar for improvizing. Your eyes will pop out, your heart will stop, you fingers will be glued on the neck if you play this pedal. This baby will never stop crying so there's only one way to stop it. It's to work with it.
