Having spent alot of time loitering in guitar stores, I've played pretty much every wah pedal on the market, and let me tell you, the Ibanez Weeping Demon is probably the best store-stocked one that I've had the pleasure of using. For starters, it sounds amazing. It may not sound like a Crybaby or a Clyde, but it has a much greater variety of sounds than either one. In fact, I would have to say it?s the most versatile wah pedal out there. And even though it has a great quantity of sounds, it doesn?t mean that the quality is sacrificed. The WD-7 has a wonderful bell like wah sound, giving it a very clear and sometimes ethereal quality. In addition, it's pretty much the strongest one out there. Its solid metal, with Ibanez's signature "tone lok" knobs, so that the knobs won?t snap off when youre thrashing around onstage. As a matter of fact, I have never seen a broken Weeping Demon in a Guitar Center or Sam Ash, even though I have been in countless stores that had on display a half dozen broken Dunlop wahs. Overall, I've got to say that it's a great pedal, probably the best wah out there for under 200 dollars, and definitely the most bang for the buck.

I got home with this thing and was all excited. I heard that it was so much better than a crybaby (which suck balls). I plugged it in and jammed on it for a while. The level feature is basically worthless. When turned up all the way, it gives you a very minimal volume boost. The sweep sucks for the most part, it gives you very little until almost all the way forward. Makes horrible noise when medium distortion is on. Better than the crybabies, but not by much. Just dish out the extra greenbacks for a vox.

I can't say any more than the rest of these reviews. You can get classic wah or gritty. Extremely adjustable. Versatile: use spring loaded and the wah turns off when you back all the way down (and the shutoff time is adjustable) or use a free floating action. Great job Ibanez.

      METAL

      By Kevin Gunter

      from Morton IL

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

This wah is amazing for metal, at the low end it growls like the devil himself, and at the high end it screams like a banshee in the night, great for those looking for a different sound in their wahs. However you funk players out there go for the dunlop crybabies, this wah is made for metal. This pedal is made out of high quality metal, and will no break no matter how hard you are stomping on it, and trust me I have put this thing through hell. There is a switch on it to change for only on when you push down to always on is made of metal and it hard to break, it snaps into place nicely, however it does take a little force to get it started, no need to worry, it gets easier when you break it in. You can choose how long after you let go of the pedal it keeps wahing, this is a nice feature, you can have it go for a while or snap off. The screw on the main pedal does come lose sometimes, you just need to tighten it every once in a while, but don't over tighten it. I am a big Ibanez fan, and when I herd they made a wah, I just had to get it, and I have not been disappointed, this is a high quality metal wah, and will satisfy any player looking for a unique sound.

And on the third day....God created this pedal.

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

I'll keep it short and simple. This is "hands down" the best wah ever made. Through the years, i have either tried or owned most of them. I bought it a few hours ago and just played my Jaydee 4 string and Pedulla fretless through it. It is amazing! The tones are a thing of beauty. It has features such as "push to lock" control settings, both manual and spring assisted modes for the actual pedal. They even mounted the on/off switch in the correct spot....which is anywhere but at the bottom of the pedal rotation! What were Dunlop, Vox, etc. thinking? Of course, at this price, i fully expected it to be housed in some sort of plastic case. Wrong! It comes in an alloy case. There is no need to buy anything else.

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

This wah pedal has to be the best, though I haven't had it for that long, but this is still an amazing Wah Pedal. I ended up getting this last christmas and tried it out and Man did it sound GOOOD!! I even tried it on Dragonforce playing and it sounded just like Herman Li's playing on it. I LOVE THE DEMON!!

      Excellent Wah Pedal

      By Brian

      from Fort Myers, Florida

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

I'm a huge fan of the Tel-Ray Morley pedals from the 70's.. the sweep you had on the Power Wah was huge, and what a tone they had..... I stepped into my local GC to check this pedal out specifically as I'd seen it reviewed here and on Harmony Central... Of course, it sounded great in the store... nuff said... Now that I've taken it around the block several times, at home, I can tell you this is a studio quality Wah. The range of sounds you can dial in is amazing. I love the bass boost adjustment, it widens your sound out nicely. The best thing, for me, is I can get my vintage, Tel-Ray Morley sound with this, as well as any other Wah out there. It's that good. Seems to be built well, time will tell, but it's very sturdy. The friction adjustment uses a quarter to turn, and is a very nice feature. All the exposed buttons push down into a recessed position, so no bumping key setting buttons. Heh, comes with a cheap 9v battery, most pedals don't come with one at all, but I suggest a 9v adapter with a 200ma output, as recommended on the Ibanez Accessory page. I got the Dunlop that GC sells, no problems. Don't fart around with trying this and that brand Wah's.. you go crazy. Take this puppy home, and you're done with a Wah pedal.

      Best Wah on the Market!

      By Jed Rhees

      from Ogden UT

Comments about Ibanez Tone-Lok WD7 Weeping Demon Wah Pedal:

I have had this pedal for a long time. It is the best wah ever made. You can create a wide range of sounds from classic Crybaby to your own unique screams. I love the feature that shuts the pedal off when you take your foot off. Tuning a pedal on and off has never been easier. The knobs are smooth and durable and can be dialed in perfectly. Only complaint is that it is a little big but it is durable and versatile. Ibanez has got it right with this one!
