The Tone-Lok Series DS7 from Ibanez is one of the most versatile rock distortions you'll find. Dials in a wide range of smooth distortions, from subtle to rock 'n roll crunch. Tone, Level, and Drive controls in "set and forget" Push-Lok knobs.
On the outside, Tone-Lok effects are equipped with the Ibanez exclusive "set and forget" Push-Lok rotary pots. Push the knobs down and your tone settings lock securely inside the case”no more lost settings or broken knobs.
On the inside, Tone-Lok guitar pedals feature hi-fidelity components carefully tweaked with the constant input from a new generation of Ibanez players. And all this great stuff comes encased in cool looking, road-tough metal boxes at prices the working player can afford.

For the price this pedal is just about the best deal on the market. The distortion this puts out roars, screams, and does just about anything else. However, the distortion is not warm and not very clear but isn't muddy either, and if all you have is a Fender Frontman or some other practice amp, put it in clean channel and hook this up and you'll be amazed at the signal your amp can put out.
The Ibanez DS-7 Pedal rocks! I mainly play Pop Punk, Pop Rock, Hardcore, Emo, and stuff like that, and this pedal screams. I have the tone on 10, level on 3 or 4, and dis. on 3-4, and it gives enough distortion from paramore songs, to chiodos, all thw way to KISS, or Sky Eats Airplane - My point is- This little box is great. It can get really middy, or screechy, and its VERY solid, the push LOK'S are great, it saves my settings, and their secure, and wont ever pop out, even if I nuked the dang thing! Buy it, it ROCKS, just like all Ibanez products. I am a proud use of Ibanez guitars and products. I only use Ibanez Guitars, pedal, cases, and Kustom amps.
This was the very first pedal I ever owned. I used my Fender Standard Strat through this into my Marshall practice amp and it does its job. It gets anywhere from little crunch to heavy fuzz. Sometimes it's a little too much fuzz but the control knobs allow you to fiddle around with it to get the tone you want. It's real durable and can handle some real stomping. I still use it and like what it can do vs. my other pedals.
This pedal can deliver anything from a bluesy crunchy distortion, to a metal distortion. When running on my Hamer guitar through a Behringer 210 it always sounds great and can always go louder. It is also a very low price. I think it is a great pedal totally worth it.
