I really like this guitar, Other guitars you really had to press hard for barre chords this takes little pressure I find to deliver the right sound, I find it easy to glide from chord to chord also my fender accoustic guitar is very bulky and my fingers hang up on some strings, I was sold on an Ibanez when my friend let me try his, man that all it took I was sold. and the tuner that ia incorporated seem to be spot on, all and all I recomend it for beginners and everybody that love a user friendly guitar.

Just average-for about $75 more I also got a Yamaha that sounds much better plugged & unplugged. Finish (Black), Fit, and Action were good. Unplugged the guitar lacks a good resonant sound most likely due to the thinline construction. You can compensate for that plugged in provided you have a multi-band equalizer in your equipment. Onboard tuner is OK. I would recommend this as a back-up guitar to take to places you would not want to bring a good quality guitar to like extreme temprature events, high humidity, etc. But, I can not reccommend this as a main guitar.

Comments about Ibanez Talman TCY10 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Ironically, the night before I picked this lady up, my black with blue burst Talman, called "Brenda" fell hard on her back(my fault) and the head piece broke clean off. The new one was ordered as a back up, or one for home/one for the road, but now "Cheryl" is my full time acoustic. Brenda was with me for a decade, surviving road trips with kids' luggage piled on top, falls, extreme temperatures and weather but finally she was no match for her master's clumsiness. I had a black one before Brenda that endured pretty much the same treatment. When I saw Brenda at GC N Paramus I traded up. I love these guitars - they are great if you're used to playing electrics. Thinner body, good neck & fretboard(*but see below) and good action for occasional leads. I love to bend notes, so I use Ernie Ball Slinky 10-46 electric guitar strings. The sound loses a little low end but you can compensate with more spirited strumming.

Comments about Ibanez Talman TCY10 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I went to the store to check out ukuleles, found this as a fluke and fell in love! This guitar has a great small size, perfect for those with small hands or playing on the couch. The sound is good even unplugged, loud enough to sound good, but not so loud. You can't play and watch tv. The action is the real selling point though. Ibanez really knows how to make a playable guitar! I have small hands and arthritis which can make barre chords challenging. This guitar has very easy action without a hint of fret buzz! Awesome little guitar! Would be great for beginners, kids, people with small hands and couch musicians. The built in tuner and pickup are just an added bonus. I didn't need another guitar, but I'm glad I got this one!

Comments about Ibanez Talman TCY10 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This product is great if you play small venues and open mic nights especially. Great for practice and travel and perfect for acoustic and pop songs. The neck is thin and easy to move around between frets. The cutaway is perfect and the sound is great. Definitely recommend it . The electric sound is great and the acoustic is nice and soft. The only thing is that the acoustic sound is not as loud as your usually Taylor or Martian acoustic , it has a special lower sound that I personally love but some people might not.

The guitar is a beautiful color. I got the blue sunburst. It plays wonderfully. But like I said the wires that connect the electronics need to be fascted better.

          Nice Double cutaway Acoustic Electric!

Comments about Ibanez Talman TCY10 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is a Parlor sized Ax, About the size of a Strat. Cut away like a Strat. The only set up I did was sand the bottom of the bridge to lower the action. I tweaked the truss rod a little bit. Action at 13th fret, 2/32-ds. Nice.Sounds good acoustic and amped! This is a small ax. It's not gonna sound like a Dreadnaught. BUT, It's lots more comfortable and easier to play leads on! I keep it in my shop's office, and play it all the time. Plugged in, it sounds BIG! It's a good ax to use as a Prop, for a lead singer to strum! OR a Lead Player to use when he's Singing Lead! BTW, I have 40 guitars, and used to own a Guitar/Amp-Musical Instrument Shop. I was on the road 10 yrs, and have been playing gigs for over 50 yrs. I LIKE this Ax! The BLUE Color GROWS on Ya,[ like a Wart!] I even bought the Ibanez 12 string in Blue. Get this Ax!!

Great value. Nice acoustic sound unplugged or amped. Love the built in tuner also. Nothing beats the growl of my Les Paul, but for acoustic play this is great value and sound.

Comments about Ibanez Talman TCY10 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is great for practice and to use it with an amp. It doesn't have a strong resonance as a full size acoustic guitar, but for an electric guitar player like me it is great because it is very light, and very comfortable to play.

Comments about Ibanez Talman TCY10 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I first played guitar with a couple of L.A. groups in the sixties, but over the years managed to get a "frozen" shoulder, broke my wrist, etc., and just had to stop. I saw this light and friendly guitar and after playing around with it, realized I didn't need an Advil. Incredibly user-friendly!

The sound is good, both plugged and unplugged. I can use this at local venues without worry. And it's a great couch guitar for just dinking around. A heck of a deal.
