Excellent for the Price. Loud, Great Tone.

By JULIAN FERNANDEZ

from Lancaster, CA

Comments about Ibanez TBX150H Tone Blaster Xtreme Guitar Amp Head:

It was pretty much exactly what I expected. I was going to go with one of the Line6 heads but i could care less for the effects. I just wanted something that would get loud, had good tone and was in a decent price range. It has reverb which is basically the only effect. And it has a frequency level knob. Since i don't really use effects it's very nice, Great for the price. and the X-Mode has a really great Lead Guitar tone. I run it through 2 old 12'' 8ohm Custom fender speakers from an old Twin reverb amp. And it sounds fantastic! I even put it through an old Ampeg b-80N bass cab just to see how it would sound and it still sounds great. I recommend this if you don't have much money to spend.

Sick Amp

By Josh

from Shillington PA

Comments about Ibanez TBX150H Tone Blaster Xtreme Guitar Amp Head:

I have played this amp for 6 months now, and still not a flaw. I also bought it used. My cabinet (Ibanez IS412CA) still plays like it just rolled off the line. I also bought it used with the head. The cabinet has a few cuts but still plays flawless. However, I'm afraid to turn it past 5 without breaking my windows. (Which is a good thing.) It has really nice distortion as well as a nice clean channel. The Tone Blaster button really gives the distortion that punch to your face that will make you blow a load. I reccomend you buy this product, because you will not be dissapointed.

Smashes my Line 6

By Zach Davis

from Dayton & Columbus OH

Comments about Ibanez TBX150H Tone Blaster Xtreme Guitar Amp Head:

I play almost weekly and have for many years for live audiences with wide array of styles. I'm asked for mellow to country western to all out rock and this amp does it all with amazing sound! I run a customized Ibanez, Les Paul, and customized Kustom Kasino through it and it handles them all with their vastly different setups extremely well! A nice change from my Line 6. No love lost when playin loud...sound is as clear screamin as is when minimal! Footswitch makes it all the better able to control everything you will need effortlessly as you make the guitar scream and the crowd even louder! I replaced my Line 6 Spider II for this and have never looked back. Amp works great with both individual pedals and my Boss GT-8 processor! THIS AMP IS A MUST FOR THE SERIOUS GUITARIST!

this should be on your amp shopping list

By raven douglas

Comments about Ibanez TBX150H Tone Blaster Xtreme Guitar Amp Head:

first of all,i run this amp through a b-52 400 watt stereo ,switchable to mono cab.that cab is awsome by the way. i didnt care for the ibanez cab.this amp head rocks like no other solid state amp i have ever owned.it will cause lumps in the throats of tube amp users.i have already had a buddy say how good my set up sounds.he plays a dual rectifier half stack .this amp will thump your guts with the lows ,then you can dial up cleans so pure, its like notes from heaven.this amp is very loud and clear when played through the right cab.i sold my purple marshal mg half stack ,when it got drowned by a crate combo.this amp is worth every penny..i would absolutley buy this amp again.

In Addition...

By Fretmaster

from Chicago, IL.

Comments about Ibanez TBX150H Tone Blaster Xtreme Guitar Amp Head:

I have owned this head for a year now and still totally love it, but I have changed one thing: the cabinet. The amp is very loud itself, but because the matching Ibanez cabinet is only mono, I was losing overall volume and in my opinion, tone. So I bought a B-52 LS 412 cabinet for the same price, and it is stereo and handles 100 more watts than the Ibanez cabinet. This head is awesome, but needs a better cabinet to show off its true capability.

Better than what people say

By Dillon

from Phoenix, Arizona

Comments about Ibanez TBX150H Tone Blaster Xtreme Guitar Amp Head:

I got one of these, and I've had it for several years now. A lot of people get one of these amps because they can't afford a higher end amp, I got this amp because there wasn't a better amp I could find. The clean channel is extremely versitile. It can do anything from bright, trebly jazz, to dark, heavy bassy rock. It takes distortion like a beast and puts out way more bass than you'd ever need. The distortion channel is better than a lot of amp, its a lot better than the Marshall MG Series. However if you turn the gain past 5 you start to get a lot of very loud humming, but once you get past that, its just brutal. I run this with the matching cab and it's very loud. Blows away my drummer with the volume at about 4.

money well spent

By warped 0n3

from Chattanooga, TN

Comments about Ibanez TBX150H Tone Blaster Xtreme Guitar Amp Head:

I needed to replace my h&k vortex head...i had heard one of these before. Ordered it on a whim. For the price - this is the best head you're going to get in my opinion - through my 4x12 vortex cab this thing sounds pretty amazing. It'll take some tweaking to get your desired sounds, but they're there. If you're on a budget, buy this thing you won't regret it - quiet enough to practice with and loud enough to gig with. Plenty of distortion. Clean channel sounded great. It sucks that the pedal is sold separately but the 4 switch is a must have.

ABSOLUTLY COSMIC!!!

By lord kaleim

from pittsburgh, pa

Comments about Ibanez TBX150H Tone Blaster Xtreme Guitar Amp Head:

After using this amp, I didn't have to shave my head for a week. It was that HELLISH, powerful and triumphant in its DESIGN, TONE,and ability to deliver everything I,ve ever needed an amp to do. Previously playing through a crate head, the IBANEZ sent the crate to a pile of wimpering embers. The IBANEZ gives chunk where chunk is needed and searing bright tone, as if developed by the prince of HELL himself. And don't even get me started on the cleans this amp produces. Cleaner than crate and brighter than fender in my opinion. The effects loop is a nice little additive, also a reason i purchased this behemoth of tone. Absolutly perfect for any guitar player. I can see why it reaches out to metal and jazz guitarists. I demand heavy tone with warm capibilities and this amp delivers! I give it 666 stars. Thank you IBANEZ.
