This is no beginner guitar! Quality and sound are excellent. I would have preferred a different finish rather than the Redburst but that's only cosmetic. The way this guitar plays and sounds is what blew me away. Sonically it's very balanced through the whole spectrum and it's plenty loud. The feel of the neck is perfect for me and the action was just right. I walked in GC to buy an electric but statred playing this guitar and ended up walking out with it. I kept saying to myself that I must have been lucky and just got a jewel, but I see others are also singing the praises of this guitar.
I spent well over a month looking for an electric-acoustic guitar on the low end to the price spectrum. Because I was getting back to guitar (I am a banjo player) the guitar manager at the Orange CT store suggested this Ibanez because of its playability and overall tone. Man... was I surprised with the sound. If you are looking for quality and great sound, consider this Ibanez Sage
5 Stars all the way. This thing has a great neck, very nicely finished frets and sounds very balanced and present. The volume and presence when plugged in is terrific. I have played professionally for 30 years. I take two acoustics with me on the road: A Martin Smartwood acoustic with onboard Fishman system and this Ibanez SGE 220VS. That's the only two I play out with. I have no negatives to say about this axe. I did see where in one review it is stated that it is heavy. It weighs a little more due to the electronics // pickup - but it's still lighter than my Martin. It is sturdy. Take care of it and in 30 years it'll be going strong. $249? It's a no brainer. A+++
This guitar is the best. Theres no other word to describe the guitar. The picture doesn't do this guitar justice. The sound is amazing crisp and clean. Its a little heavy but thats ok a lot of acoustic electric guitars are heavy. The sun burst is amazing. Overall great guitar I'd recommend anybody to buy it. I would give it 12 stars if I could.
beautifull professional sound, does not sound anithing like a beginer guitar. the internal tuner is a plus. very confortable shape but...a little heavy. comes with battery included, ``A beautiful, proffesional guitar always tuned and ready to rock``strongly recomended if you r moving from a beginner guitar...5STARS!!
