Only bass you'll ever need

By bts025

Comments about Ibanez SRX505 5-String Bass Guitar:

I went to pick up an Ibanez SR300 and came home with an SRX505. I saw it sitting in the corner and had to play it. The action on the neck was incredible, not like any bass, more like an electric guitar. The strings were easy to press down and the neck was wide and thin enough to walk up and down the neck without my fingers feeling sore. The dual pickups and two band EQ system lets to crank any sound you want out of this bass. At the store the low B string buzzed on the frets and I though I was going to have to get it adjusted, but once I changed the strings, everything sounded better than before and it was easier to play. The tuners keep everything in perfect tune, the E string slips after a couple hours of playing, but the rest are perfect. This is the only bass I'm ever going to need to buy!

The SRX505 is the best bass I've ever owned

By BradFloyd13

Comments about Ibanez SRX505 5-String Bass Guitar:

My very first bass when I was a kid was an Ibanez Roadstar Precision-style. Since then I've owned several others manufactured by Fender, Music Man, G&L, Peavey, and Yamaha. When I was looking for a new 5-string bass, I saw the SRX505 in the Ibanez catalog and I knew I had to have it. It is precisely what I've been looking for all these years. It has the super high output pickup configuration that the Music Man and G&L basses had, with the range that I wanted in a 5-string. All that at a very affordable price, I couldn't pass it up. With the ability to achieve a wide variety of sounds, this is now the only bass I use live and for recording, with the exception of a fretless. I've also gotten compliments on how great the bass looks. My hat's off to Ibanez for producing such a great and affordable instrument.

You get more than you pay for

Comments about Ibanez SRX505 5-String Bass Guitar:

With this monster of an axe, you get better than what you pay for. You get a crunchy low end with an incredible high end too. Depending on your amp (i own the ibanez sw35), you can achieve just about any sound you want. It sustains its sound well too (I have mine down-tuned to ADGCF, and it could probably be down-tuned by two orthree notes and still sustain its incredible sound)no complaints on this one. Its PFR pickups put out A LOT of power, so you need a good amp to handle it. If you're looking for a good bass with an amazing sound for cheap, get this bass, it's a great buy.

Comments about Ibanez SRX505 5-String Bass Guitar:

This bass is one of the best basses i've ever played... It is easily right upthere with some of the $1,000 basses... It has great spacing and a great handling/feel... The active pickups deliver awesome, growling low end... The thing stays in tune too... It handles any music you throw at it... I recently converted mine to fretless... It is awesome fretless... JUST AN AMAZING BASS

Dig In!!!

Comments about Ibanez SRX505 5-String Bass Guitar:

I have owned this bass about 5 days now and just plugged it in yesterday to hear it. I plugged it into both a 100w and 150w and thought the amps were gonna start shaking and smoking! This bass can deliver! I play HARD finger style, and I love the string spacing. This bass can handle all you can throw at it. Great tone and the low B is nice and tight not like other 5's I've played
