I've played piano for years, but I just started playing bass when my gf bought me a Squire for my B-day back in August 2006. That was nice, but as I taught myself to play through videos of the pros, I realized that I would never get the sound I wanted from that bass. So, I went to Guitar Center with $330 and said, what can I get? Tried out some basses, and after kinda playing the SRX300 (remember I was new at the time), I knew it was a good buy. It had a great tone, design, and was versatile sound. Most importantly, it sounded like a pro bass. It definitely helped me to grow as a bass player. I still have it today and it never lets me down in any situation. Some of my old head bass player friends even like it and they have $600-$1000 basses. The only negative that I could really mention is that the action is a little high. But it hasn't hendered my playing in the least. Go buy 1 from Guitar Center today!

A great bang for the buck. It has all the features that a bassplayer needs on it and the sound is superb. I have owned only three basses during my career as a bassist but out of all the basses I've played and considered buying, the SRX300DX is the best value for the same features. If you have any questions about it write me an email.

AMAZING

By Stoner_dude55

from Old Town, Maine

I just got this Bass guitar for Christmas, and I have been playing for about six months now, and the bass I had before was a circa 1970's Audition and it doesn't even compare to the sound quality and the broad range of tone for this bass, you wont regret getting this bass, I give it a 5.0

Awsome bass

By Anonymous

It actually gives a great sound i play Iron Maiden songs with it. And add Rotosaund strings with it, and it is the best bass thar ever existed. It gives a roar sound and great for bass solos, and riffs.it is an awsome bass.

SRX300

By Jeremy-.nPOW

from Wyoming

Went to my local music Store and saw the SRX300 hanging up and had to try it. Surprisingly this bass was lighter and had a thinner neck compared to my GSR190. I was playing threw a Ibanez SW35 Amp. The SRX300 can go from twangy high, to a very brutal low, by just adjusting the knobs. I was planning on buying a Thunderbird or a ESP F-104, but after hearing this baby, now its "Thunder who? ESP What?" CHEERS!

Amazing bass

By Kyle-1zZWs

I'm actually a guitar player but I had to get a bass for all the different places that I play (sometimes I need to play bass) so I got this bass used and on sale so it ended up being super cheap, which is what I needed, but this is a top quality guitar! It's amazing. I love the active pickups (requires a 9 volt), I love the different sounds you can get from this bass just from twisting a few of the knobs - you don't need pedals. I love how low the action is and how light the guitar is. It's an overall amazing guitar.

mmm ibanez

By SirIbanez

from Sydney, Australia

Not counting my starter bass, this is my first bass and I am in love with it. I bought it at the start of 2007 and play it everyday but it still looks and sounds like new. My favourite feature of this bass has to be the thin neck. The thin neck is very helpful for fast playing. So if you're thinking about getting this bass, do it! It's will be worth every cent.

First bass

By Samskeyti

from Clarkston, WA

I bought this bass without trying it out and I don't regret my choice. I've had it for about 3yrs. Hasn't let me down. The paint job is beautiful. I got the Iron Pewter version. The high output is the best feature about this bass. This gives it a thicker, deeper tone that you can control easily. You can really play any style on this bass. The neck is another key point. It's very thin; which allows for fast playing.Amazing low end! I use this guitar with a 15'' combo...man oh man. Drop C or lower, and the lows shine.I've really only played Squire basses, so it's hard for me to compare. It blows away all Squires.Ibanez offers up a solid bass guitar perfect for any genre or style. Great electronics, awesome woods, perfect neck.
