Overview

Premiere bass tone can now be yours thanks to the Ibanez SRA500 bass guitar. Its body is mahogany with a quilted maple top to give it a luxurious appearance. The 3-piece bolt-on maple neck enhances resonance and attack, while its U-shaped profile and 12" fretboard radius make it especially fretting-hand friendly. EMG pickups have a dual-coil design for low noise and plenty of output. They have the punch and fullness of older passive designs along with added brightness for a better-defined tone. A Ibanez bass's 3-band EQ offers ample tone tweaking capability, while cosmo black hardware and a gloss finish create a slick look.

Easy to play, muddy low-end

By Greg

from Talladega, AL

Has the thin, fast SR type neck and is very light weight and balanced. The only complaint I have is the the low-end is thick, as in muddy sounding. I tried it on 2 diferent amps and even with on-board EQ and graphic EQ on both amps, could not get the bright ring I have seen on other Ibanez Basses. However, this may appeal to some tastes.
