Overview

The 5-string Ibanez SRA305 Electric Bass combines desirable top-quality appointments and solid wood construction to create a great axe for a very affordable price.

The SRA305 body is crafted of solid mahogany and is joined to a 3-piece maple neck with a U profile and 12" fingerboard radius that make it very comfortable to play.

EMG HZ pickups have a dual-coil design for low noise and plenty of output. They deliver both punch and fullness with added brightness for a more defined tone. They are coupled with a PHAT-II EQ that enhances the SRA305's big sound.

Die-cast tuners and a B10 bridge keep the SRA305 bass solidly in tune while black hardware and a gloss finish give it a sleek look.

a purchase i regret

Comments about Ibanez SRA305 SRA 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

although it may be a problem with my instrument specifically, this bass was not worth the price. although i admit the bass offers an impressive variety of tones and respectable pickups, the problems which the bass has developed in the several months since it was purchased clearly outweigh the benefits. first was the fret buzz, which was bearable at first but has reached the point where it the 12 or so affected notes are entirely inaudible. next the one knob which sits on top of another came loose and falls off randomly, and now the volume cuts out entirely if certain knobs are adjusted even slightly. i sincerely hope these problems have developed only on this specific bass, as without those incidents this would definitely rate as a five star bass in my opinion.

Awesome Bass!

Comments about Ibanez SRA305 SRA 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I've had this bass for over a year now and its awesome! Been playing bass for 11 years now, and this is a sweet bass for metal. I play in a djent/progressive metal band called Birth of an Empire and we play in Drop A and this bass handles it with no problems. I don't get any fret buzz that others experience, but I also get my instruments set up right off the bat anytime i get a new instrument, and balance my string to string tension. Made with Mahogony body, which I consider much better than Bassword or Agathis. It's well balanced, I get zero neck dive out of it. I've played American basses worth twice as much that didn't play as well in my opinion, well worth the money. Get it before its too late. The Ibanez site no longer displays the 305 model, so I assume they aren't making it this year!
