For 25 years the SR505T has given bass players a modern alternative. With its continued popularity, Ibanez is constantly endeavoring to answer the wider needs of a variety of players, at a variety of budgets. But no matter what the specs, the heart is the same-SR continues to excite with its smooth, fast neck, lightweight body, and perfectly matched electronics.
The neck tongue not only creates a unique look, it also makes utilizing the higher frets easier and coupling Jatoba with Bubinga has made it strong and stable despite its thinness.
The MK1 pickups are split coil designs that provides a very wide frequency range and enhanced definition for maximum accuracy. The Neck and Bridge pickups have equal response, like traditional single coils, but without the hum and noise.

Comments about Ibanez SR505T 5-String Electric Bass:
Is there anything bad to say about this bass? It's black with a nice wood grain! It feels amazing! Sounds great! Neck through! Fast neck which is silky smooth! MK1 pick ups! And I got mine on sale! Comes loaded with SS coated Elixer strings. Had to search the internet to figure that out. GC had no idea what came on the guitar and Ibanez never responded to my question. There is one bad thing about this bass. The frets could be shaved down a little on the sides. When the wood shrinks they really tend to get your fingers. When the humidity is high they feel fine. Ok, I lied.. 2 things I dislike.. Like most basses I dislike how crowded the volume/tone knobs are to the playing area. If you have ever smashed your fingers off the volume knob before? You'll know what I'm talking about.. Over all: I purchased 6 basses in the last year. All were ranging from $60-$700 each. I tried about 30 different brands and styles. Everything from Fender/Squire to Peavey to EB SUB to other Ibanez basses. This was by far the best purchase of all of them! Hands down!
