Comments about Ibanez SR5000E Prestige Bass Guitar:

I've searched and tried every bass that was available, from Schecter,Fender,Warwick.Schecter stilleto are nice, but kiddy stuff,Fender are just to old school,Warwick are nice if you got mega-buck to cough out.So I decided with my gut feeling and bought the Ibanez sr-prestige bass.I love every minute of it.From funk, jazz, rock etc it just got everything especially with the PC-III EQ.It amazing what I can do this Bass.I own an RG-prestige guitar,so I might as well get it big brother along with it.I am very happy to own one.

    Smooth dreams.

Comments about Ibanez SR5000E Prestige Bass Guitar:

I purchased the SR5000e last month and have been extremely pleased with the purchase. Craftsmanship is top notch. The thin neck makes this bass exteremly easy to play for those with smaller fingers. This is my first new bass in two decades. It replaces a very well-used 76 Gibson Ripper. The sustain on the SR5000 is incredible considering it is a bolt-on neck. I do find that the EQ could cover a little more range and does require some tweaking at the amp for the sound I want. Compared to the Ripper, the Ibanez is a joy to play. I wanted the wenge wood and was willing to pay the extra to get it. For the price, it may be better to go with SR4000e or SR4500e. I did try the SR700, which I liked a lot but it is not in the same league in my opinion. My biggest complaint is I really liked the seperate battery compartment on the SR700 and was surprised that the batteries are in the same compartment as the electronics on the SR5000. Ironically, I wasn't even looking at Ibanez when I started shopping.
