The Ibanez SGE130 Sage Series Acoustic-Electric is a benchmark acoustic for players who need quality and affordability. It's a Jumbo guitar, which Ibanez found to be the best size for extended low-end ranges.

This Ibanez SGE130 sounds as great as it looks. It has a beautiful sunburst and natural high-gloss finish and a brilliantly designed, large, classic pickguard that contributes to the understated vintage styling.

The AP3 magnetic pickup is specially designed to attach to the soundhole of the SGE130 and produces full and warm sound, complemented by the AEQ200MT preamp, which has a 2-band tone control and an onboard tuner as well.

The Ivorex II nut is stronger and more durable than bone and even harder than the original Ivorex. Ivorex II nut allows brilliant highs and more pronounced lows with less mid-range which makes Ivorex II-fitted guitars perfect for amplification.

Appearance, sound, and playability are the main reasons a guitar gets chosen by a player and this Sage Jumbo has it all at a low cost.

Beautiful work of Art

Comments about Ibanez SGE130 Sage Series Acoustic Electric Guitar:

So I picked up this guitar today...and I have to say, if you want to buy a great acoustic jumbo, then this should be your best bet! I've played many jumbos but for some reason Ibanez's jumbos have always appealed to me the most. My father bought one way back in the 70's so I was always jamming on his and the sound was just so clear and crisp! So when i layed eyes on this baby i picked up and fell in love once my fingers touched the strings. It even has a pickup and sounds so nice when plugged in and has a built in tunner. Anyway, this guitar is a must and I havent been able to put it down since I bought it, as a matter of fact Im holding it right now while writing this review!

Comments about Ibanez SGE130 Sage Series Acoustic Electric Guitar:

You won't find this guitar sitting in your local GC unless someone traded it in or you're lucky enough to have a GC that sells this bad boy regularly. It's mainly an online only guitar (so I've been told) which is kind of cool cuz it'll be rare if you run into someone else with the same guitar. I ordered the vintage sunburst finish and it was delivered to my house in 5 days. I was SO excited, because my dream guitar is the Gibson SJ200 with the vintage sunburst finish, but i'm not down to fork over $$$$ just for a guitar you know hahaha. So I did some research looking for guitars with sunburn finishes and eventually found this little piece of awesome. It was a jumbo with a sweet sunburst finish and the best price i could find. This is the best looking and sounding guitar for it's price. With new strings, it has the beautiful ornate look of a Gibson with the clean, crisp, and full sound of a Taylor. when it came in I was blown away at how beautiful it looked and sounded. It's tuner was the only part of this guitar that had me take it in for inspection. I found out that the tuner would only turn on if you had a quarter inch cable plugged into it. It didn't have to be plugged into an amp to be turned on; it just needed the a quarter inch end plugged into the guitar. I was told this was mainly for the purpose of battery life, because you didn't want to accidentally leave your tuner on over night and kill your battery. A handy dandy trick you can do is to cut off the end of an old quarter inch cable you have and pierce a hole in the cord so you can hook it on to your key chain. That way you'll always have a quarter inch handy ifor when you need to tune. This guitar also has volume and level control with the tuner, so you can produce the exact texture and volume you want when you plug this awesome guitar in. SO, IF YOU'VE STUMBLED UPON THIS GUITAR, BUY IT. IT'S THE BEST GUITAR FOR THE PRICE AND YOU'LL GET LOTS OF COMPLIMENTS ABOUT HOW BEAUTIFUL IT LOOKS AND SOUNDS.

What I've been waiting for...

Comments about Ibanez SGE130 Sage Series Acoustic Electric Guitar:

First thing I would say about this guitar is that I love the way it looks! Although the pictures do not show how dark the finish is it remains a beautiful piece. In low lighting this guitar appears black. The action is superb on this puppy. I wanted an acoustic with low action and I got exactly what I wanted with this Ibanez. And having an on-board tuner makes me feel as if I am a wealthy band member who can afford to have someone there just to tune my guitar! This is the first guitar I have owned that I researched a little to know what I was getting into. I wanted a solid piece that looked like a classic with a contemporary style. Right out of the box it sounded great to me with one exception. The first and second strings buzzed a little on the first fret. I'll probably adjust that down the road and it's not that bad it just bothers me a little. Final summary: For me it was worth the investment and I will use this instrument for years to come as a primary tool in making music to the King of Kings, Jesus.

Fretless Wonder

By Jon Branam

Comments about Ibanez SGE130 Sage Series Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I wasn't expecting to get a great guitar here, decent, acceptable, but not great. I was surprised, it really sounded pretty good even pluged in, but I had two problems with it. First the finish (Dark Violin Sunburst) didn't look anything like the one in the picture, in fact I thought they had sent me a black one until I took it out in the sunlight, a disappointment to be sure as I thought the one in the picture was very pretty. I could live with the finish though. The deal breaker for me were the frets. I've played on 6105's for awhile now so at first I thought it was just me, then a friend, who plays only acoustics, tried it and he thought they were short too. We lay a dime on the fretboard next to the fret wire and the dime was taller than the fret, we checked them all and they were all like this (at least they were consistent anyway) . I don't know, maybe some people like their frets this low, maybe I just got a bad one but in my book thats a fretless wonder and completely unacceptable for my style of playing. I'm sending it back. * your mileage my vary *
