Overview

Ibanez' marvel of form and function, the S Series, continues to evolve for todays player. Cloaked in a quilted maple top with dramatic burst finish, a bound rosewood fingerboard features jumbo frets. Lurking beneath the S Series graceful 3-D shape is mahogany specifically chosen for S Series instruments.

Light enough amaze in terms of comfort, heavy enough to provide the tone and sustain that players expect from the S Series. As the originators of the thin, fast neck, the Wizard III neck is yet another achievement in playability, providing the kind of comfort that translates to responsiveness and speed. The best of all worlds humbucker/ single-coil/ humbucker configuration provides an impressive palette of tone textures.

Comments about Ibanez S671QM S Series Electric Guitar:

This is a great guitar. I originally had a 771, but found that I could get the same neck & body on a more basic model, so I got a 521. That was good, but no neck binding and weak sound from the bridge position, so I found that there was a middle ground in the 671, and that has turned out well. Replaced the mid and Bridge pickups, the neck and body are the same as the 521 and 771, which is really a masterpiece of design, and with enhanced pickups, I get the clean fat sounds I love. So now this guitar, which I bought to kick around with when I didn't want to haul my 335 or Tele into dubious security situations, has become too nice for that too. Oh well, that's what I'll do with it anyway. I also wanted a guitar to leave in the car so when I'm on a nature retreat I can play some. Car duty is rough, so I won't use the 671 for that, bought a Traveller that's 38" total length with full size neck, and it will stay in the car. A personalized S series Ibanez is a beautifully designed guitar, sustain forever and the best neck/body I've ever found.
