Overview

Like its S series siblings, the Ibaneze S570DXQM Electric Guitar is one of easiest to play and most comfortable guitars you can buy. The S570DXQM Ibanez is crafted with a gorgeous carved quilted maple top and a mahogany body with a matching headstock.

The original sleek archtop gives the S570DXQM guitar a feel that is luxurious and highly playable. The 3-piece bolt-on maple neck has the fast Ibanez Wizard III neck profile and is dressed with 24 jumbo frets for increased expressiveness.

The ZR (Zero Resistance) double-locking ball bearing bridge gives any guitarist amazing creative freedom. The tone of Ibanez INF pickups is unmatched. Other appointments include special designed fingerboard inlays and Cosmo black hardware.

Infinity humbucking pickups
The versatile and responsive INF1 pickup in the neck position has a ceramic magnet and delivers warm classic tone with added output. A single-coil Infinity INF Single 1 pickup with an alnico magnet in the middle position is designed to work with humbuckers set in a split configuration. The INF2 humbucking bridge pickup offers enhanced midrange output. Its Alnico-V magnet enhances individual string clarity with excellent dynamics.

Zero Point tremolo system
The unique Ibanez Zero Point trem system stabilizes the bridge and insures tuning stability by consistently returning the tremolo to the center or zero point. In addition to the usual tremolo springs, the Zero Point System features 2 additional springs, which insure that the bridge returns to the center point. Zero Point system adjustment is quickly set by hand—there's no need for a hex wrench. The ZR tremolo uses ball-bearings for smooth, precise, friction-free action.

The Ibanez S Series is known for their very thin body style, their famous Wizard necks and, and their innovative double locking tremolo systems. Until very recently, S series models only had 22 frets, but this new model brings the whole deal with 24. When I bought this guitar, the neck joint was very well sculpted back and I have had no trouble hitting the high frets on this guitar. The neck is extremely fast and comfortable at the same time. The thin body is something to get used to, but once you do, you'll never go back because you'll find that the thin body makes it so much easier to relax, which allows you play faster and/or better. Now, the finish on this guitar really attracted me, as I am a very big fan of light blue quilted maple tops, and I would say that the guitar holds true to it's picture, not too much differentiation between tops as I've seen in other brands. The ZR tremolo system was a new experience for me as well compared to the old Edge III,as it definately has a different and smoother feel, but I found it to be more stable and versatile, and they finally came up with a quick way to set the whammy bar in and lock it! The bridge stays well in tune, and it is easy maintenance too. It isn't as much of a pain as a regular Floyd or an Edge III would be when it comes to changing strings because of it's Zero Point system which significantly lessens the time spent tuning it after you get all the strings on. Now the one thing on this guitar that really didn't sit with me were the inlays. At first I was thinking that they were wimpy inlays, and what the heck were they doing on this guitar.....but actually I found that I could naturally find my position faster with them, so I let them slide. With these guitars, they absolutely REQUIRE a pickup change to get a proffesional sound. I threw some DiMarzio Evolutions in there, and this thing literally became my main axe in 2 seconds. I absolutely love its playability, sound, and versatility, and I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for an expert level guitar, a shred machine, or a metal monster, but really because its so playable, I'd recommend it to anyone of any style.

I read a ton of reviews before I buy anything and you need to read this. I take all possative and negative reviews into concideration. This guitar is very fun to play and trust me it has good qualities. However, my problem is with the company Ibanez and I guess maybe Guitar Center. I bought this guitar in February of this year 2010. The locking nut on my guitar broke one month after I got it and I called Ibanez to have a replacement part sent to me. The parts are a dime a dosen anywhere but the Ibanez wherehouse. First off getting anyone at Ibanez to help is a mess. You need a gps unit to find there customer help line. After struggling I found out that a certified guitar center tech would help. I called the nice guy in March about the nut. He warned me by sayin Ibanez takes forever to ship anything and it might be 6 to 8 weeks. I called him recently and he said he has no idea where the part is but will check and call me back. That was 2 weeks ago and it's now June 27 which is 17 weeks from when I placed the order. I am getting upset now that I haven't been able to play the new guitar without the locking nut working. the moral of my story is that they have a garbage help line, a garbage shipping process and nothing in stock at there where house. A locking nut system should be a normal part in stock. I don't know if I'm ever getting the part and I have spent $700 on the guitar andf awaiting a $20 part. Please be careful with your ibanez so you don't have to try to get a part from them. If I knew then what I know now I would have gone with a more responsive company. Not all Ibanez guitars will have the same problem as mine. However, anytime you have a problem with your guitar you can bet your warrenty will be up before you can even recieve the part. Good Luck

Almost as good as the S Prestige, and it's worth it to get this one instead.

By Michael Wong

from Boston, MA

This is a very good guitar, and it's not high end. I'll compared it with my Ibanez S Prestige. The S Prestige is only a little bit better because it's slightly thinner, lighter, and has a smoother neck. The pickups between the two guitars may differ in sound, but I can't tell the difference between the bridge pickups at least. If I found out about this guitar sooner, than I would have gotten two of these instead of one of these and the Prestige. It does have flaws, but the Prestige may have those flaws too. The holes in the bridge that hold the saddle lock screws strip too easily. It happened with this guitar, so one of the saddles won't lock. As a result, the tuning stability is slightly unstable. This could happen with the Prestige though. I think Ibanez should supply replacement parts so fixing a problem like this won't involve replacing the whole bridge. I don't feel like doing that though.

This guitar sceems !!!

By andrew ory

from Sandwich, Illinois

Just picked this one up a month ago. I've never played a guitar quite like it before. It's neck is slippery fast and the tremolo does exactly what they say. Stays in tune no matter how hard you abuse it. I matched this guitar with the Fender "Mustang IV". I thought I was going to need a sustain unit, but was dead wrong. The sustain you get with the Infinity pickups running through the Mustang is insane. I absolutely love this guitar. It's probable the best you can get for the money. I think it plays as good if not better than a guitar costing thousands. You definitely can't go wrong with this one. If you don't like it, then there must be something mentally wrong with you. Go check it out, I guaranty you'll fall in love with it too.

Absolutley astonished!

By taylor warthen

I recently came across this guitar in a local music shop and love it so much that i signed up on here just to write a review on it. I was looking to get a new guitar to better fit the music that my band plays (harder rock/little bit of metal tossed in there)i typically am a PRS man but i found i couldnt get that sound i was looking for in my SE 24 custom so i originally went in to try out the PRS Torero. the guitar was great and beautiful but expensive and proved to be impractocal with its 18V system. As i was walking out i caught a glimpse of the S570 and stopped to try it out. WOWWWW blew me away, the ZR trem system is designed very well and really does stay in tune regardless of how much you abuse the whammy bar. i personally got the black one but the bluie is beautiful aswell. The knob on the back of the guitar allows you to adjust the tension of the trem system without any effort at all which is great. the body is thin sleek lightweight and a joy to look at. the neck is slippery fast and the most playable fret board ive EVER played. even better than some high end PRS's and Prestige Ibanez's. Alot of people criticize the pick ups but in my opinion the 5 way blend switch is enough to get a great variety out of them for any style. i play anything from classical to jazz to metal and the s570 masters all of them! i play it through a Randall Rx1200DX half stack and it goes beautifully together. the guitars sustain is endless and can match whatever you want to play. an EXCELLENT buy!

Great

By Brad

from Boston, MA

I own a Jem555 and the neck broke. I have repaired it 4 times and instead of another repair, I bought this. I am very pleased. The thing just stays in tune which was my first fear with the new tremolo. It is a very thin guitar, you should know. There are two fallbacks... One is that the cord plugs in next to the tremolo bar, which isn't terrible but kind of weird. Second, the pickups are raised in a way where they sort of get in the way of strumming. I got used to it but, it was different from my Jem. Overall I give this guitar a full 5 stars on the price vs. performance. It sounds and plays great.

best guitar ever for little price

By Alex Powell

from stewartstown pa

i got this guitar for my birthday and i loved it. i haven't played any of my other two guitars. it is well worth the money. the pickups sound great. the finish is absolutly beautiful. with the zero point system i can dive bomb to my hearts content. the inlays are the coolest ive ever seen. the mahogany body is great and is pretty light weight. with the one tone and volume control it is easy to control and adjest to your custom sound. and it is great for any music style. so it is a great peice of art and sounds great.

Ibanez does it again!

By Raybeez

from dewey az.

Bought this guitar a couple months ago without ever actually holding it...just read the reviews. I own an old EX series and a 321 Ibanez. This S570 does what the others can, and more. It has more "bite" than the 321, and the neck is so wicked fast that I expect to get a speedin ticket! The sustain is very good too. The guitar feels kind of cheap when you first put it on...I think because it feels lighter and thinner than my other guitars. MUCH lighter than my strats. But once you hear it you know there's nothing cheap about it. Great job Ibanez!

Amazing Guitar. Feels great and very comfortable to play. I absolutely love the Zero Point tremolo system. Its very easy to adjust. Everything about this guitar is fantastic. I ordered it at Guitar Center and had them ship it to me. I recommend getting the M100C case to protect the guitar. The case fits it like a glove. *****
