The first thing you notice about the Ibanez RGA72TQM Electric Guitar is its sleekly contoured body and beautifully figured quilted maple top. Plug in and start playing to discover its other delights.
The 25.5"-scale, 3-piece set maple neck has the fast Wizard II profile with a rosewood fingerboard and transmits amazing resonance to the all-mahogany body. Ibanez LZ3 humbuckers with active EQ and 3-way switching offer a vast and powerful tonal range with rich harmonics and crystalline articulation. An Edge III tremolo bridge keeps tuning dead-on during aggressive performances. Cosmo black hardware and fingerboard inlays complement the beautiful finishes perfectly.

I bought this guitar over the summer, and I DID NOT buy it through Guitar Center, rather made the mistake of buyin it through one of the online warehouse stores. First of all let me say that I love Ibanez, as soon as I pulled it out I was very dissapointed with the the color, though the finish was fantastic the so called (BLACKBERRY SUNBURST) BLACK BERRY my....it is flaming fire engine red one reason I wanted this guitar is that the color of the blackberry seemed different, ok got past that next.. The first guitar that I recieved the nickle plating had actualy came off two of the strings just under the locking nuts, and it is hard to see the white binding on the sides of the fret board it is there, well it looked like some one had let their kid go nuts with a file and the frett board and binding. Sent it back with out problems and was sent another one only took about an additional week. Guess what the Bridge pick up had issues, there was a crack in the dog ear on the side of the pick up that holds that leveling nut. Ok new guitar I could have sent it back but said no way fixed it myself. Had Guitar Center tech set her up and guess what bent Knives on the trem. took it to a Ibanez repair center and they are replacing the trem and the pick up. I am not saying this is a bad guitar i know two others that own the same guitar and love thiers. JUST make sure that you are careful and check her out before you pay
Great quality guitar. Well made and beautiful. Plus sounds amazing. But I hate the locks o the bridge and the neck. Absolutely hate them. They are obnoxious.
Ok first off i really wish i could see the blackberry sunburst finish on this guitar. ive only seen the transparent gray finish which is really nice i just want a guitar that isnt black or gray haha. ive gone to my local guitar center about 9 times the past 2 or 3 months looking for a new guitar and this one catches my attention everytime. ive played it on a 6505+ and it sounded amazing as well as when i played it on a valveking. this neck isnt a bolt one which is a huge plus for me cause im obsessed with my tone and sustain. my old guitar was terrible with that. the trem was astonishingly really nice. i usually hate trems but it actually was much better then any floyd rose ive had. the neck is the classic thin wiz II neck so if uve played ibanez before u know how helpful that is when u need to sweep or just play tough faster riffs. this guitar is great for shredding on! ive played the older rg prestiges and i honestly like this guitar much better. the picks are better then most stocks but i would suggest swapping for emgs or duncans or even dimarzios if u want to get the best possible tone because nothings beats the great tone from those pickups. if thats out of ur price range id still suggest this guitar because the pick ups on this are still much better then most stocks. i gotta say this guitar is my all time favorite guitar that is under my rga7 :D the eq switch is a nice addition its nice to have when switching from a really darker sound tone to a brighter happier or upbeat tone. this guitar has a great variety. to a beginner i recomend this and to a well round musician i still recomend this id just change the pick ups. i myself am getting one of these at the end of the week!
i got this guitar about 2 months ago, at first i had some problems with the trem (prob because it was a display guitar, and people messed it up) but i put a temporary block under it for the time being. other than that i absolutely love the guitar, like they said, picks give it no justice, the blackberry is to die for, binding is o.k. but the pickups are just rite, i can get alot of different tone out of it, when you turn the EQ off you can get a more classical sound, and it is very warm. but it is also amazing with heavy distortion. very nice guitar all in all, i love it.
Over the summer I purchased this guitar in the Blackberry sunburst, which is absolutely amazing, after researching different guitars I decided this was the one I should get. What really drew me to this guitar was the shape and how it looked very comfortable and light and it is exactly that. The guitar is so comfortable that even standing i could play it for hours without ever feeling uncomfortable even with a cheap strap. The stock pickup are pretty good, in my opinion much better than most stock pickups, but no replacement for a quality set. The trem works very well unless you divebomb a lot and then you may find that the trem is not good enough. The neck is extremely comfortable and smooth. It is thin but it fits my hand great and I guess I have regular to mid sized hands. The guitar also seems very reliable and very solid. If i were playing a show I would be comfortable playing this guitar without a back up. Overall I am completely satisfied with my purchase and would make it again.
I got this guitar today, id never looked at it before, and honestly, i was looking for something cheaper. But the neck is amazingly fast, the stock pups are clear a clean, the finish is to die for, the pick gives it NO justice, it is AMAZING. the trem is nice, even when not locked in if you use the trem it almost stayes in tune haha, which is pretty decent. after i got it tuned in just rite, i didnt want to put it down! very nice guitar for the money, it beautiful and plays very effortlessly.
