Comments about Ibanez RG652 Prestige RG Series Electric Guitar:
I'm a 30+ guitarist, always Les Paul, but have had a soft spot for Ibanez and decided to finally pick one up. I'm not interested in whammy bars, so this Prestige seemed perfect. The overall quality is fantastic. The neck is sleek and very playable. The body is well balance and feels comfortable standing or sitting. The various tonalities on different pick up settings make this guitar musical in a range of styles that I play--jazz, hard rock, abstract, funky. However, there are 1 or 2 "wolf notes" that sound on the G string around the 10th fret. These are notes that die off and just don't resonate as naturally as other notes on the neck. I don't think this is a manufacturing issue as wolf notes have more to do with the physics of wood than manufacturing flaws. But I do wish that every notes resonance played evenly. For this reason, I may return (this being my second RG652 with the same issue).
