Great Guitar

By Godfrey Ouwens

Comments about Ibanez RG470MH Electric Guitar:

We bought this guitar for our 16 year old son. He did alot of research before he chose this model. We ended up phoning out order in and let me tell you that it was the best phone service I have ever had in 20+ years. The representative was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The guitar was suppose to be back ordered for at least 2 weeks. We ordered it on a Wednesday, regular ground shipping, and the guitar was here Friday at noon. We live in the sticks so I was very surprised. The packaging was good enough to where the guitar did not have any damage from shipping. Unpacking the guitar and holding it was amazing. This is a beautiful guitar. ( I have been a Fender player my whole life ) but this thing fit me perfectly! The action on it is amazing. The tone was great, a little less than some of the other guitars I play, but still great. The Edge Zero bridge is more than amazing, after tuning the guitar, we put it through a series of 80's whammy song tests.. even bottomed the tremelo several times. After 20 min, rechecked the tuning and it was EXACTLY spot on.... I was simply amazed... This guitar just might change a 30 year Fender player into an Ibanez player.... ;)

Good shred Guitar for the price.

Comments about Ibanez RG470MH Electric Guitar:

This is my third Ibanez RG model and I must say this is a pretty good Guitar for the price. I own the RG470MH (2011 Indonesia) in Blackberry. The Guitar is beautiful. The instrument is built solid and features a great amount of bang for the buck. The icing on the cake is the Edge-Zero II Tremolo Bridge with ZPS3Fe stabilizer mechanism. This new Bridge is light years ahead of the Edge III (which I also own). I have put my RG470MH through tough paces, and I must say, this Guitar truly delivers. The Tremolo actually works well, can take some serious abuse, and still return you back to zero point. The Wizard III neck is thin and fast but not flat and awkward (feels very much like a Wizard II). The Infinity Pickups are good, not great, but good. The Guitar's setup from the factory was pretty good with the action being fairly low and functional, intonation set properly, and no cosmetic defects. The Pickups adjust easily and tuning is a breeze with the locking nut and upgraded fine tuners on the Tremolo unit. This Guitar is built for shredding, but is able to produce twangy cleans (mild Fender-like clucking), nice blues, and heavy metal tones when setup for your preference. With this being said, the Guitar is not a Prestige but will give a Premium a run for its money. I would recommend this guitar for any Guitarist who wants an affordable, good, beautiful Guitar that sounds nice, will last, and is of quality workmanship. Ibanez has done a great job with this Guitar and I can't thank them enough for the Edge-Zero II with ZPS3Fe upgrade on the series. If you are looking for a Guitar that can shred with with the best of them you will not be disappointed.
