Overview

The Ibanez RG370DX electric guitar's pickups and pickup placement provide the hard-edged cutting tone needed for heavy rock.

Since 1987, many players have selected the Ibanez RG as their weapon of choice for visiting sonic mayhem on the metal masses. With the right choice of pickups and flat, fast necks, the RG has crunched its way to classic status.

As heavy as it rocks, the RG370DX guitar is made of basswood, a comparatively lightweight wood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood is right in between alder and mahogany in sound character. 24 jumbo frets offer easy playing for leads and chording and the Edge II tremolo bridge lets you dive bomb all night long.

Well since I got guitar I have owned it for a year. Si I am mainly writing for left-handed players. As you all know lefties don't have much of a choice in guitars. I have owned most all models but I do have to say this Ibanez rocks it feels very comfortable and the tone is very warm and this guitar can rock with most sickest metal out there. I mainly play groove and industrail metal and it does the job well for all kinds of genre in music. So if your left handed I recommend this guitar it plays fast the neck is fast and the body is light weight. The only thing I would change is the Tremolo and Pick ups one Ibanez's faults there Pick ups suck. But other than that it is a great guitar hopefully in the Future we Left handers will have more choices out there until then IBANEZ is where its at ROCK ON SOUTH PAWS!!!

If you are buying this guitar with idea of replacing the pickups or you don't care about sound quality (yea right), than you will be happy. You will probably need to do a set up to dial in the intonation, lessen the buzz or fit your particular style. I don't think the Edge III tremolo is a right from the box, factory set-up, plug and play bridge. Other than that, I will say the the guitar has a great look and feel.

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

a good guitar for shredding ....although i replaced the INF's with the PAf joe and the dimebucker im much more happier with the sound now...trem is good rarely goes out of tune ..mind u i use the whammy relentlessly but im wish the action could have been much lower...i expected that from ibanez but i guess have to go to a more seasoned luthier also had a lot of issue with the input jack else the rest is pretty good...especially the tones

Amazing Guitar for the Price!

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I've had this guitar nearly a year now. It has a great sharp look and feel, the edge III is nice, it took me a while to get used to because i was a beginner. The pickups produce a clear tone. The guitar is great for what it's worth. I use it to play metal, hardcore, and rock. Very good and i'd definately reccomend it!

Solid Five Stars!

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I haven't had a whammy bar since my first Fender, and let me tell you, it's good to be back in business. I sold my Fender and picked up an Epiphone Les Paul which is fun, except for it's not much of a metal guitar. Luckily, I looked into Ibanez guitars and found this beast. The Edge III tremolo is just as good as a Floyd Rose and no matter how abusive I am, it won't go out of tune. Sounds great with or without distortion, and has a great twangy metallic sound when unplugged. Not only does this guitar look great, but it's very smooth and VERY hard to put down. Not too expensive, and worth every penny. It's a great guitar that I would recommend to anyone. If you're looking for complaints, search for a different guitar.

Amazing For Shredders

By Caleb

from IN Indianapolis

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I picked up this guitar (In Digital Camo...So Cool) at my local GC and plugged it into a Line 6 Spider IV, and this thing screamed. The edge III tremlo on this thing is so much like a floyde rose, and the eizard neck is the fastest most thin neck i've every played... This guitar is Amazing for shredders or Metal Lovers. The only thing i would change on this is stainless steel frets and Emgs, other than that PERFECT.

Simply Awesome

By 1590159

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

This guitar has a sweet tone for any type of music you could want! I could play some sweet Steve Vai stuff then go to a Slayer sound with the stock pickups. The tremolo system is great! i can go all the way down, to the point the strings start flapping and pull back up and it'll stay in tune! If you are new to the use of a tremolo system i would recommend you stay away from this guitar because it may be somewhat complicated to you but if you are experienced then i recommend you get it. The neck is very comfortable and its thinness makes you want to start shredding at lightning fast speed.

Amazing

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I just got my guitar today. I have to say this was everything I wanted and more! I can just spend hours playing with the tremolo! I only spent like 5 minutes getting used to the tuning and so far it has stayed in tune. It sounds like a beast! I almost got an Epiphone Les Paul but I'm thankful i didn't. I got this guitar in white it is amazing. I would recommend it for anyone and everyone. :D

BEST GUITAR EVER

By Mark

from NJ

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

This guitar sounds amazing. It's tone, it's feel, just everything. The pickups are amazing. The body is a normal strat body but is still awesome. The tremolo works wonders. If you hold it down until the string are completely free it bounces right back to the tuned amazing guitar. It's neck is so comfortable in your hands and will easily let you shred. I have on this since Christmas of 2010 and i still have no complaints what so ever. It is built so well. Ibanez gets a thumbs up on this one. It was a lot better than I had ever expected. BUY THIS GUITAR. DONT HAVE SECOND THOUGHTS. This is the guitar you need.
