Overview

The Ibanez RG350EX Electric Guitar takes the RG series further into the metal zone. Many players have selected the Ibanez RG as their weapon of choice for triggering sonic mayhem on the metal masses. With the right choice of pickups, flat and fast bolt-on neck and double-locking trems, the Ibanez RG Guitar has dive bombed and crunched its way to classic status. Though it rocks heavy, this electric guitar is made of comparatively lightweight basswood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood is between alder and mahogany in sound character. 24 jumbo frets and a fast Wizard II neck offer easy playing for leads and rhythm, and an Edge III bridge offers great tremolo control.

Good but EDGE III SUCKS

By Henry Kovel

from Pennsylvania

Comments about Ibanez RG350EX Electric Guitar:

This guitar is amazing for the price, I picked it up when it first came out a while ago and still have it today. The pickups aren't special, but VERY good for a stock set, the neck pickup kinda sucks though. The Shark tooth inlays are really nice as well and there is some nice binding on the neck to go along with it. The bad thing about this guitar is the Tremolo, EDGE III is the cheapest possible copy of a Floyd I have ever seen, and the locking nut sucks as well, the EDGE III goes out of tune VERY easily, and often requires re-tuning. I don't remember what the pieces on the nut are called (I believe they are saddles?) but they need replaced almost on the spot, made out of some cheap metal, they have deep imprints and cuts from the strings, I recommend getting them changed, usually it's like 15$ for that, but for the price, I would recommend this to anyone.

So smooth

By Rio

Comments about Ibanez RG350EX Electric Guitar:

The first thing you notice upon touching the neck is how thin it is. Once you get playing, you'll feel like you're gliding. This is a great guitar for the average metal head who likes to shred. If you're not happy with the pickups you can always swap em. Other than that, it's a fast guitar.

Unbelievable for the price!

Comments about Ibanez RG350EX Electric Guitar:

First off I have 25 years exp playing and working on guitars so just trust me on this. This guitar is worth more than the price. The neck and Edge 3 system alone are $250 and $220 new, this is info directly from Ibanez's U.S. HQ(Hoshino USA). Im an expert on setting trems for ANY tuning and I can say there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Edge 3. I tested it in the best way, constant Trademark Dime Harmonic Squeels all over the fretboard for about 15 min straight! If you get it set up right, the only thing that will throw it out of tune is a well placed C4 charge.(haha). Back to the guitar it self, the only thing I see wrong with it is the weak unclear stock pickups. I have 12 guitars all with Dimarzios or EMG so thats what Im going off of. The factory setup was trash on mine, Ill admit that. The freakin bolts for the saddles and R4 locking nut were not even tightened at all! What the h*ll Ibanez? It only took me 20 min to get the kinks worked out though. All in all totally freakin sweet guitar for only $400. Im glad I bought it, and I hope this review helps set the record straight about the Edge 3(fantastic trem system).

Very guitar..

Comments about Ibanez RG350EX Electric Guitar:

This guitar is great, i know that because i got it used at G.C. Nice thin neck, and it never go's out of tune. I think people complain about the edge 3 tremolo system so much is because they probably dont know what the hell there doing. The only problem i had with it was the pick up positions they chose for the INf3 & INF4. So i swaped the bridge to the neck, and put a EMG H4 passive in the bridge. Now it sounds freaking killer... Great guitar for all types of music.

WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

By METAL MANIA

from Washington

Comments about Ibanez RG350EX Electric Guitar:

At first I was a bit uneasy about buying this guitar because of hearing and reading so many bad reviews over the edge pro III. I must say after getting the bridge set up correctly it stays in tune very well even if you go crazy with the whammy bar. The neck on the Ibanez RG350EX is one of the fastest and smoothest necks that I have ever played on. If you love to play metal/rock/classic rock like I do then this guitar is for you! The Ibanex RG350EX is well worth the price and in this case your getting a lot more than what your paying for!!

Great Guitar!

By Jared

from Manasquan, NJ

Comments about Ibanez RG350EX Electric Guitar:

I recently bought an Ibanez RG350EX and I love it! At first, i was uneasy because I heard that the Edge III was flimsy, but I have not had any big problems with it yet! It stays in tune like a beauty, no matter what kind of nonsense I attempt to use the whammy bar for!
