Excellent value for the price. The guitar has everything you need and nothing you don't need. Excellent tone from the mahogany wood. The Mahogany Oil finish looks great. Good neck (not as good as Prestige necks but this is 1/5 the price of one). Pickups sound good but could be higher output (maybe ill stick and SD Invader in the bridge later). Good guitar all-around. Fast neck, good looks, excellent value priced guitar.

ive had this geet for over a year and the volume and tone knobs have a ton of play in them and the nack has some imperfections in the frets. although it is a tihin fast neck, it sucks for chords and is uncomfortable after a while. i didnt treat it bad and it plays now like i used to beat it against a wall. the electronics need to be replaced already. honestly go the extra mile and buy a schecter c-1. its a much better quality guitar and it will last a heck of a lot longer

Great Value!

By Jim

from Vancouver, WA

This is my second Ibanez RG. I was looking for a fixed bridge model, and this was just what I was looking for. The natural oil finish looks great and the tone is really good. Of course like any new guitar it needs some tweaks here and there to get it set up for yourself and your style. It is great value for the money. A better deal is hard to find. The Mahogany looks a lot better in person. The chrome has a smoke finish to it, but does not look too bad.

Ibanez RG321

By Steve

from Brandon, MS

I added this guitar to my collection a year ago. It has become my #2 guitar after my #1 Fender American Deluxe. Out of the box I set the truss rod and intonation, etc; and replaced the strings. The intonation is now perfect, not so with every guitar. A new guitar requires setup and a good set of strings if you are to give it a fair rating. The guitar came in excellent shape finish and hardware wise. The neck and frets were nicely finished, no rough fret edges or uneven frets. I really like the comfortable feel and the ease of this guitar to play. I have experienced absolutely no problems with loose or failed hardware and I play this guitar a minimum of 15 to 20 hours a week and have been extemely satisfied. Seymour Duncans will replace the pickups soon. I feel the guitar has been a real bargain being very durable and always a pleasure to play.

Awesome for the Price

By IamSinis

from Mifflinburg, PA

I bought this guitar because of it's simplicity and thoughts of customizing. I love the finish, like I said it's simple, but that's what makes this guitar shine. I also took the stock humbuckers and sold them, then put in an EMG-81 on the bridge and and EMG-85 on the neck. The only thing that sucked was that I need to drill another hole for a seperate volume knob since there is only one on the stock guitar, but it fit and now it shreds with a mind of its own.All-in-all it's a wonderful guitar, with great sound and beautiful aestetics.

Great Price, Great Guitar

By Michael

from Clarksburg, West Virginia

This guitar is great for a beginner and experienced players. The pickups could be replaced for a better set also the bridge sometimes breaks the strings every few months. It's easy to reach the 24th fret and stays in tune even in drop C. I would replace the bridge eventually if I wanted to keep the guitar but besides that this guitar is really great for the low price and has a great sound on clean and distorted channels. I would very highly recommend this guitar.

I just Sat down and played this guitar for about 3 hours strait. I put it throught everything I could. I played every song i new. I detuned and retuned it. And heck this thing is amazing with distortions, and clean setting. With wahs and everything else. No problem with this guitar at all. I thought it was amazing. I'm Going to buy this guitar Monday.

think before you buy

By Jonathan Wilkinson

from Elkview W.V

I bought this guitar used from Guitar Center online. The guitar is in good shape and has a descent sound.I own a selection of Ibanez guitars and some with mahogany bodies. I would have to say that if this RG 321 MH is mahogany at all, it is plywood mahogany. The body is very cardboard sounding when you nock on it with your fingers.Unlike my other mahogany bodied guitars, this one dents with a touch of a finger nail and is very light in comparison.I got a great price on this used, but had I given the new price for it I would have been very disapointed.I would highly recommend putting an exta hundred toward a RG 350 series or checking out Guitar Centers used guitar section to find a higher quality guitar for the same or less money.Ibanez simply lacked quality wood in the body of this guitar.

Love at first note

By Ambrose

from Cincinnati, Ohio

I found one of these in a small shop and picked it up to try it out since it was in my price range. I fell in love with it as soon as I started playing. It's so much more lightweight than anything else I've played - my Epiphone G310 couldn't compare. The extra couple frets on the end are nice not only for the couple extra notes, but also because they make easy access to the higher frets. I have to say - the oil wood finish looks amazing. It scratches easily (especially without a pick guard), but even with a bit of blemish it looks sexy. Not to mention the sound. With a 5-way pickup selector switch, you get much more freedom with your sound. Even when I want to play a more folk-sounding song, I can get exactly the right tone. The only problems I found were the easy scratching, the tuners I got were very touchy, and the low E buzzes no matter what I do - especially in drop D. Other than that, a great guitar for this price range.

Great Guitar. A few Complaints.

By Kevin Lambert

from warren michigan

I love this guitar. it has a great sound and the mahogany looks beautiful. The only complaints i have is that the G tuner comes untuned alot, the Pickups could be better, and the knobs are very very loose. all around good guitar.

Worth the Money.

By Sam

from MI

You get what you pay for with this guitar. I would say it's a step up from a begginer guitar. The neck is good for fast playing, it's relatively light, and it looks awesome. If you've been playing for under five years, but you're sick of beginner instruments, get this guitar. It's a step up even though it's not the best of the best.
